write hubs on popular things that Amazon sells, such as the latest mobile phones, computer games, laptops etc
"Real Amazonian Profit Plan Review" is my Hub on that - it works!!
Read my hub on it - this e-book REALLY helped, and this from a guy who should have known better. I've made money on other ventures, other affiliate networks, but "adding a widget" will get you no dice unless you actually:
1) Find products you can competitively sell (choose good ones).
2) Write good reviews (not rehash).
3) Do good competitive analysis (SEO-wise).
But for a short answer, having your own site works best. Less distractions, more control - and you keep 100% of the profit.
HubPages is still viable to use, so are other Web 2 sites, but to tell the truth, you really want to get your own site up, in my experience.
