Does anyone have an idea how to transfer my domain from Weebly to Wordpress?
I own a website hosted by Weebly and would like to transfer this (my domain name) to Wordpress. I am having a difficult time finding relevant resources on this. Thanks.
Did you buy your own domain name separately, or did Weebly do it for you?
If you bought it separately, Weebly doesn't get involved - you simply have to enter your new nameservers at your domain registrar.
I assume you mean Wordpress.org and you're setting up your own hosting account? Or do you mean Wordpress.com
You need to ask weebly how to get a copy of your site so you can take it elsewhere and your hoster where you are going to install the wordpress.
The hoster where your wordpress will be installed has to provide nameservers and you have to use those at the domain registrar.

I like the simplicity of Weebly for a newb like me for building a website, but will they be a reliable host? Does anyone have any domains being hosted there,NOT SUB DOMAINS but actual domains.

I am considering creating a web site and would appreciate comments/suggestions. I am fairly new to this and the only web hosting/creation site that I know is godaddy.com but I am sure there must be more.

I'd be really interested to hear if you have any experience using this site. It seems really easy to use but is WIX a good long term solution for a small operation? I need a shopping cart. Thanks in advance!

Ok, I want to start a website initially on a free site and then move to my own domain. I'm dumb as dirt when it comes to any kind of coding so it needs to be user friendly. I want a blog to be attached, but...
