I am under my GP for stress and severe high blood pressure.
my wife has informed my employer of the situation and keeps them upto date, but they insist on speaking to me. this makes matters worse as they are trying to force issue whilst talking to me.
can they under my terms and contract demand to speak to me personally.

You need to protect yourself by going on a leave of Absence.

A doctor should fill out the papers you supply him.
They can't fire you under a LOA, they can if you're not on one

I'm pretty sure if you HONESTLY considered the 'problem' from the other perspective... you would likely agree that your boss Did Not Employ Your Wife! sad

I certainly wouldn't employ anyone who didn't have the respect to talk to me and used his poor wife to plead his case! Irrespective of the presence of a LOA or not!
