HOW to LOVE your WORK: Ways on staying longer and loving your JOB

I LOVE MY JOB and I DON'T NEED a new one!
I LOVE MY JOB and I DON'T NEED a new one!

"I NEED A NEW JOB!!"

That is often what I've been hearing from colleagues and friends who have been working under the same employer for quite some time now. I honestly felt the same way when it seemed like I have been doing the same things all over again and being stuck with the same position all this time.  Let's add pressure on top of the endless tasks that you have to do in a day, making you force yourself literally to get out of bed and go to your much dreaded work.

How much dreaded or how stressful may it be with the job you have at the moment, I would still say that it's not wise to look for another job for there will never be any assurance that a new job will be better.  It's most likely that you'll end up in the same situation that you'll feel tired and stressed that you would want to look for another one.  Aside from starting all over again, trying to win friends and your manager's trust, finding another job is not the answer!

You have to learn to love your work and STAY where you are for as long as you can!

LOVE YOUR JOB!

Instead of complaining about your work and the stress it has been giving you, instead of whining about your boss, and instead of feeling burnt out for doing the same workload over and over again, why not focus on what are the factors that make you stay and love your work?

  • MONEY - You will not be staying longer with a company if you're not being paid well. It's all about the money. Money makes the world go round. We need money and we want to earn, thus, we must appreciate that someone trusted us and gave us a chance to be part of a company, therefore, we should love whoever believes in us and where we get our earnings from.
  • FRIENDS - Despite loads of task given to you on a daily basis, remember that you still have friends that you gained at work. Friends whom you can share your frustrations with, your glory, friends who will be there when you need to vent out, and friends who will be proud of your achievements.
  • REWARDS/PERKS - Most companies give out perks for exemplary performance or to make employees strive towards achieving goals. Learn to appreciate little tokens as rewards. This should make you look forward to incentives and exceed your manager's expectation.  And don't forget Christmas and annual bonuses!
  • NEW DAD/MOM - Think about your boss as your mom or dad. Think of your co-workers as your family. If you are to compare your boss to your mom/dad, you will take feedback constructively and you know that you were reprimanded or was given advice because your boss cares for you and it will definitely benefit you in the long run.
