Inspirational and Motivational Posters

You've probably seen them plastered on walls all over your manager's office or in the hallways somewhere. These motivational posters are the symbol of success. You may think they are quite corny or cheesy. What are they even good for? With so many sites making posters that are more anti-motivational than motivational, you would think that there is no point in having posters that help motivate you.

The thing you must understand is that people who have a goal and are actively pursuing them think differently than those who either have no goals or are not pursuing them. The mentality is on two different planes. On one hand you have those who are focused and determined while on the other hand you have those who almost seem to think stuff like believing in yourself and having posters that remind you never to give up are ridiculous.

It is quite funny to see the difference in the quality of life that these two groups of people share at least. The ones who mock their managers for having cheesy motivational posters probably forgot that their manager is more successful than they are. Now, this isn't always the case. Sometimes, people who don't see the point in these posters just feel ashamed of admitting they have some sort of goal or passion in their life. The reason is because they have a fear of failure. They don't want to risk the embarrassment of failing to achieve a goal.

What the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.

Motivational Posters Serve as Anchors

When you pick a poster to hang on your wall with a quote that resonates with you, a poster that when you look at it, it reminds you of your goals, you can use it to link up or anchor those feelings towards your goals with the act of looking at the picture. The way you do that is by getting yourself really psyched up or motivated about pursuing your goals. While you do that, you want to look at your poster and imagine the images of you already achieving that goal that will relate to the picture on the poster somehow. If you do this enough times, every time you look at the poster, you will get that feeling again. This can be quite useful during those times when you feel like quitting.

Of course, you can also just have a poster with a quote that really inspires you as well. It's amazing how a few words can instantly make you think of positive images that can help motivate you to push through any challenges or setbacks you may have. These posters are tools you can use to help you fight through those hard times. Just like using motivational videos, motivational songs,  stories, etc., having these posters can help you get back on your feet after you are met with a setback.

Here are a couple of good motivational posters.

Challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.
Challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.

Every time you set a goal, challenges will appear. You may not like it but if you think about it, they're actually blessings in disguise. Sure it would be easier if you pursue a goal and achieve it wilthout much effort but you wouldn't be as excited. If you goal was to lost a pound, and you had no problems doing it, how excited could you be? If you worked hard every single day for almost 10 years of your life and ended up being an Olympic medalist, how would that feel? The more challenges the goal, the sweeter the victory.

Until you spread your wings, you'll have no idea how far you can fly.
Until you spread your wings, you'll have no idea how far you can fly.

You must be willing to take a chance every now and then. Sometimes we will settle for things we don't truly want just because what we really want is too scary to go after. You only have one life to live. If you don't spend it pursuing what you truly want, what else is there to do? It's better to go after a life you truly want and not get it than to settle for a life you really don't want. The first scenario, there's at least a chance. The second, no chance. Leaders are willing to take the risk. Are you?

The above is one of the motivational posters that I personal have.

The greatest waste in the world is the difference between who we are and what we can become.
The greatest waste in the world is the difference between who we are and what we can become.

As a human being, you have great potential. The reason is because you can do far more than you actually think you can and because of this, you should always strive to be the best that you can be. Even when you do that however, you will find that you can do more. That's the journey of life. Those who are willing to go out there and make their dreams come true are a lot closer to living their potential than those who don't try at all. Like the quote says, it's a waste.

This is about being focused. If you have a goal, then every action you take with either lead you closer to your goal or further away. Therefore, to accomplish your goals, you must take more actions that lead you towards your goals than away from them.

You can succeed best and quickest by helping others succeed.
You can succeed best and quickest by helping others succeed.

No who succeeds on a high level has ever done it alone. You need a team of people to help you and in return, you must help them. The people who get all they want are the people who help the most people get what they want.

Check out some more posters here. There's a bigger selection what's on this page.

Hey,

I´m really inspired by the "persistence" poster, because I love the ocean. The waves speak for themselves and I feel very motivated after looking at this photo!
