List of Online Backup Storage Companies BBB Report

When searching for any particular type of company to do business with, it is always a good idea to do some research on the business in question. On this particular occasion, I wanted to know more about various online backup storage (also called, remote backup storage) companies.

The Internet is full of online backup storage businesses; but I quickly realized that there are a small number of large businesses that actually own their own equipment to handle the storage of backed up data. Many other businesses are affiliated with a larger company, that actually have the equipment to handle the storage of the backed up data file. Or, in some cases, a smaller business had formed a license agreement with a larger firm to sale their services, allowing them to re-brand the portion of sales the smaller business makes as their own.

I wanted to know more about the underlining companies that actually own the equipment to safely store the encrypted data files sent to them.

I needed a list of companies that actually own their equipment and manage that equipment, perform diagnostics on the equipment, and monitored the equipment. If these companies are sound, then any spin off affiliate, or re-branded business that used that companies equipment at least had a solid base, (equipment wise) to work in the field of online data storage.

Here is a list (in alphabetical order) of some of the companies that I have found BBB reports on and how the are rated:

Not all online backup storage businesses are on this list, because there are so many of them, finding the ones that are not just affiliates is difficult. This is because it is not easy telling some of the affiliated businesses from the larger businesses that actually own the equipment.

Most affiliated businesses do not advertise who they are affiliated with. Though, if you are looking for an online backup storage company to become an affiliate with, examining the business of interest BBB report from the above list is still a good idea.

Before choosing an remote backup storage service, you should find out what is your computer's upload speed is. Search Google to find various tools on-line to test you Internet connections speed.
