Is It Worth It To Pay?

In my opinion, if you're a small business owner trying to make a name for yourself and build a strong web presence, then YES it is worth it to pay for social media marketing services. But it's not just important for small business owners, it can also be good for website owners, blog owners, music artists, contractors and anyone else with a service or product to promote.

If you're spending all your time trying to run your business, work on projects, serve clients, create new products, etc then how will you have time to keep up with the marketing side of your business? You can't, yet you must! With the huge influence that social media has now, it's extremely important to have a presence on as many social networks as you can along with having a blog, writing articles, promoting your content, using social bookmarking sites, etc.

Furthermore, in order to effectively grow your business you have to monitor your brand and what people are saying about your company. Most of these opinions about your company will come from social media sites like Twitter, Facebook and other blogs. So it's important to continually monitor what's going on in the social media world.

Let's not forget about the never-ending cycle of new social media tools that are rapidly popping up on a daily basis. How will you know which tools are best for you? How will you know what works? If you're busy doing more important things in your business, there's no way you can test out all of these new tools, keep up with tech and social media blogs, and try things out to see how it benefits you. This is why it's worth it to pay for social media marketing services.

Why Is It Important?

Which One To Choose?

Everyone can claim to be a social media "expert" but it's up to you to decipher which ones are the actual experts. Also, after finding some companies that do offer services, you have to next compare prices and see which ones are giving you the most for your money AND meets your needs. Some may charge a large fee but not offer as much as another company does. Which ones you choose will all depend on your wants and needs. Whichever company you choose, just make sure that their package best benefits your company.

How big of a Web presence do you want? The larger your presence, the more services you'll need to have an account on. It will greatly benefit you to have accounts on at least Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Squidoo and Hubpages as well as have a properly SEO optimized blog. You'll need your blog to be updated on a regular basis and remain active; you'll also need those blog posts promoted and it would be great to have a decent amount of retweets on Twitter.

Most importantly, you'll want a company that will not only create social media accounts for you but will manage them on a regular basis. That includes keeping the information updated, posting new updates and interacting with other users. There's nothing worse than a profile that just promotes its own content and never engages with their followers; that's really boring, plus it looks spammy. So, it's really important to pick a company that has your followers' best interest at heart also!

I took the liberty of creating a comparison chart of 8 different companies that offer extensive social media marketing services, in all different prices ranges. As you'll notice, the majority of them have at least 3 different packages to choose from. The lowest package gives you the least amount of services, while the highest packages are booming with services and will really explode your company on the Web.

You'll definitely want to take the time to include social media marketing in your budget and this chart will show you why. Social media marketing will be one of the best investments you've ever made, so be sure to choose wisely.
