I work in the MPU dept. Recently, ther were a few job openings. My son and my daughter applied for a job. Everyone in the dept. told me to have them apply. Even the store manager told me that he would pull their SSN's and bring them in. They did what I told them to do. The manager, Bob Winters, saw that they used me as a referance he yellow-taged their applications and said they didn't pass the test for employment. I told him that I was going to file a descrimination charge on him. I still plan to do just that. It was wrong to do them like that after everyone told me to send them to Sears. Sinse that time they have hired 3 new employees. Bob Winters does the hiring. I just think that it's wrong to use his feelings toward me to punish my children.

i worked for kmart at 22 n. point blvd, i'm no longer working for kmart. i tried to access my personal information and was not allowed too. the first time i called 88sears for help the person hung up on me. i was informed by the second person to get in touch with kmart, and they will send me my paystubs. i need help!

South County Sears in St. Louis Mo the worst place to work at. They made me stay after my shift off the clock and listen to there meetings which were up to 30 mn. I called 88 sears and they changed my schedule to where I was one of the only people to work til 9:30. I guess they do retaliate against you! Then I was told if I do not turn in my employee discount card I would not receive my last paycheck. Nice job Sears!

HI I WORK FOR KMART IN TAMPA FLORIDA FOR 17 YEARS AND I WAS JUST TERMINATED FOR NOT GIVING MORE FOR THE COMPANY.WHAT EVER TIME THEY GIVE TO WORK I WORK WITHOUT ANY PROMBLEM,I ALSO WORK IN WHATEVER DEPARTMENT THEY NEED MY TO WORK IN I HELP EVERYONE THAT NEEDS HELP AND DON'T THING THAT WAS VERY NICE OF THEM TO DO THAT THEY KNOW THAT I WORK HARD IN THAT STORE,IF THE STORE MANGER ASK ME TO HELP IN ANOTHER DEPARTMENT I DO IT WITHOUT ASKING.THE DISTRICT MANAGER THINKS THAT I WASN'T GIVING ALL THE COMPANY,WHICH I THINK THAT WAS NOT TRY U COULD ASK ANY ONE IN THE STORE.BUT IT IS OK EVERYONE WILL HAVE THERE TURN COMING TO THEM?

I worked for KMART,3206,for almost 5 months. I was a very hard worker and worked all through the holidays. I found a conterfeit 100 bill,which nothing was done about. I was fired because the front end manager was in a bad mood. They waited till after the holidays to fire me. I guess they didn't need there number 1 cashier anymore.

WOW! Reading some of the things y'all posted is entirely correct its amazing how a lot of stores are the same no matter where it is no recognition positive anyway anmostly negative and certainly NO REWARDS not even a ty and the pay is just ridiculous when you work sooo hard.

I work at Kmart in Lumberton North CArolina. I hate that there are so many negative comments about these stores. I have been at Kmart almost 2 years and love it. The pay is not that great, but the management team are incredible. We have a terrific, but strict boss. He is always willing to listen to all of our grevuiences and does whatever he can to solve them. because he is such a good leader, we do whatever it takes to make him shine, but he always give the credit back to us. we have our moments were our days are not the best, but we all stick together just like a real family, we argue, we get mad with each other, we are human, but at the end of the day we are a family and a team, and without good leadership this would not be possible. HR is also awesome. we have one of the best. no,the best. so if you ever want to join a winning team, and decide to move to the area, check out Kmart 7420 in Lumberton N.C. that's just being "KMART SMART"

I have worked for kmart for 25 yrs.through the good times and the really bad times. We have a really good management team. That's not saying there isn't problemds among us but a great place to work.At the end of the day we are a family.

i was off work for a few month then on lite duty-at first i was treated fine.now after a year of so called lite-duty managers hardly acknowledge me i am feeling like each day is my last. i also just had a workmans comp case.i am 60 years old i wonder if i am slowly being fased out.by the way after injuring my hand due to much heavy lifting i can and won't cripple myself anymore for this job.maybe my usefullness is done.

We heard on TV tonight that Sears/Kmart are closing 100 to 120 stores in 2012. We are very unhappy that this could happen. We love our shopping at Kmart/Sears. We want you to PLEASE take back this horrible decision!! Ask Donald Trump to help!! Someone please help save Kmart/Sears!!!!

worked for kmart33 years.downsizing means getting rid of long time associates. New manager targeted me from day one because of health issues. He made it very clear i was on the short list. Now i am gone. Excellent work record but not a personal favorite of the new manager. Sears has sucked the life out of Kmart. Too bad. Sears is a terrible unorganized place for people to work. don't be fooled by the sears name. new mgmt, bad people bad decisions

i have been with kmart in northen indiana for 3months and i love it.i work well with everyone there but 1 person. my boss is so caring and work with me. and i alsso work what ever they give me. i open some days and close some nights.i also work on the sales floor. i have no problem with kmart.our store is frendly and understanding to our customers. and yes i have heard about them getting rid of workers if they don't ask the customers about a plying for a credit card. i ask if they are going to use there sears credit card, and if they say no then i ask,a lot of people have a sears credit card. and some times they tell us cashiers no i don't want one. and you can't make them get on. and yes a lot of places don't see that when people say no they mean no. all i can say is just do your best. and tell your boss that you asked and the customer had said no. good luck to all.

Been at the same kmart store for almost 36 years. Enjoy my job or I would not still be there. Was very disappointed that last year having 35

Years of service I received no recondition from my store or the company. No raise in 5 years. More work and less and less benefits. Come on kmart show your appreciation for your dedicated employees. And her rid of sears. Just pulling our company down. No plans of retiring anytime soon. Need my job!!!!!

I recently was terminated because after heart attack I still could not give Sears a return date by Doctor. Paycheck for remaining 14.54 hours (approx.2days) was taxed as a Lump sum distribution at 25% taking $34.90.Icontacted payroll (INDIA ?) AND TOLD THEM INTENT OF LUMP SUM RULE WAS FOR SOMEONE W/4 OR 5 WKS VACATION NOT 2 DAYS. THEY KEPT SAYING THEY HAD NO CHOICE) NO HELP.
