A compelling hub about Christmas being truly celebrated as it should be

Hub response to fellow hubber LaurinzoScott

This is a powerful message of a hub you recently wrote (located on image below), and very well put LaurinzoScott. This goes to show that its not always about the amount of contents one places into an article, but more about what's actually in it.

I sense you have a desire for the superficial world to no-longer be the focus, and for people to awaken to the more spiritual aspects of such a traditional belief and holiday.
I actually grew up roman catholic, and I do know that many people don't care to celebrate this holiday worldwide and its their prerogative, and as they say "it's to each ones own".

This is LaurinzoScott's hub article & link below to get there

As a youth I had doubts

Since my youth I chose not to practice such a faith, and my mother stopped celebrating the Christmas holiday, and soon began to celebrate Kwanzaa. I learned from this experience as a youth that holidays are whatever you choose them to be, for yourself and for your family.

Many of them have lost their true historical connection and authentic values, such as your hub illustrates and tells of such a well known reality.

I agree with you Laurinzo, that if something at all in life is to be worshiped or practiced, it shall only have its truest effects on people, if and only if they do such a thing as its intended to be. Now, today I choose not to ignore such a holiday though, and even if my mother prevented me from celebrating it as a child.

Gift giving

I do give gifts to my loved ones today, but only things that they are in dire need of, so this to me reinforces the true spirit of Christmas, which is love of self, of family, and for others worldwide. This love extends itself outwards to others, and when we share with one another so selflessly as the Three Wise Kings had done for Jesus.

This is what I believe is what Christmas gift giving is about, but commercial society and greed has surely taken us all away from the prime objective & as you stated the celebration of Christ's birth.

Many Christians and Catholic's do indeed celebrate it as its once been done in ancient times as well, but its not every church that conducts such religious traditional ceremonies.

Merry Christmas! bro, and a Happy New Year to all!!

Hey Bill, its definitely a cool thing indeed to read a persons hub entirely and especially when we can completely relate to it all, then to turn our massive response to them into a hub to help them out. Also to create a ground for others to discover, and pass it on into further discussion is so super cool indeed.

I'm so glad to be of service to my fellow hubbers who definitely go the extra distance here for me, oh yeah!

Thanks bro for the cool comment as we both are doing super things here on hubpages, and it feels good.

I almost missed this one, as for some reason, of all things, it went to my junk mail! A couple of others' hubs did as well, so I am glad I checked it, and received a blessing from reading your hub and sharing about another cool hubber too. You always bring it home.

My sweet mother always says that too, "To each his own," is how she stated it.

Yes, that is the true spirit of Christmas . . . to give selflessly no doubt, just as Jesus did. My heart is always filled with much joy when I see you actually writing the Name of Jesus or write something about the Bible! You are the best.

Voted up +++ and sharing.

God bless you. Merry Christmas.

In His Love, Faith Reaper

@Sunnie Day, thank you for that awesome comment, yup its Christmas time and the season to be giving.

So I'm just doing what I always do for others here and elsewhere, but this time a found a single hub that tops many of the more honest and true ones when it comes to such a message it does indeed deliver to us all.

Laurenzo definitely deserved the boost, with that one.

Merry Christmas Sunnie, and may all your wished come true this new year coming!
