26,000+ Views to a single hub article

Writing quality produces results

Almost there folks!

I have one hub that blew past 26,000 views. However I shall not name it because there are copycats out here whom are in search for high traffic articles to scrape from, and so all I'll state about it is, that it has over 50 comments thus far like many other articles I have. (This article answers a Q&A question)

I have another article that just broke 16,000+ views and that one however has zero comments, so there really is no relation to high views and comments, but if you are wondering how people achieve high stats here on hubpages, well it takes time for the most part, and the other factor is your hub writing, content selection, and placement skills counts even more on today's web.

Being original scores huge

Top quality is key

Good quality scores the best here on hubpages, and so grammar is key as for writing is concerned, relevance of content you choose to implement is another. Keywords all must be relevant and not under stressed or over stressed. Linking hubs to other relevant hubs of yours or other authors makes a huge difference to Google's search engine, and detectable by the hubpages bot programs, as well as for all the human hub hopping page inspections going on continuously both here and on Amazon Turk (A newer program of human rating using the hub hopper and is a paid incentive for people to rate our articles from hubpages on Amazon).

Once you learn to master these technique plus be able to draw in the community a bit to your online efforts being initiated daily, and into all that your writings entails. Then you shall begin to start seeing the light here on HP, which is certainly something of a phenomenon in making online communications as a community based initiative.

It takes a great deal of time investment though for most online writers, but overall what stands out is your writing skills (Establishing a writers voice is essential for most) and overall knowledge of how the web works (SEO skills apply in every way imaginable on the web as a content writer or what have you). If you haven't done any research yet into all of this, make sure to read up on the hubpages learning center to get a much better idea as to how it all works.

Powerful stuff! Bonus video on what hubpages truly is

What are the methods?

There are well defined ways to make it all happen for sure, and some things aren't so obvious at first to everyone, because of the true hidden nature of how this writers network works. Plus there's also social elements (networking effectively on and outside of hubpages) in place that tend to work better for authors once they learn to cultivate and improve on their overall quality of hub writings.

Good luck on your quest and journey here as a writer and to all whom may be reading this article, and welcome to hubpages for those new to it all. Also, don't forget to give the HP terms of use a good read from time to time, so that you can discover all that they detail as what to do here, or what not to do to be safe, because the rules are stringent here. Unfortunately many people tend to overlook that aspect of hub writing, and fail to realize that its not all about writing anything to get by or to try and promote themselves alone.

One things for certain, this is a powerful writers community where we all help one another to master this craft of online publishing of high quality content (Evergreen content works the best on hubpages - look to the right for the link to the official HP learning center article), and we do it by sharing with one another as well, which is an awesome way to achieve success together if at all possible.

Note: Self promotions alone, and being to personal is frowned upon here for the most part, if your articles or hubs are written in an overly promotional or overly personal manner, they will actually counter act any or all attempts to achieve web traffic growth & potential online success to them.

Celebrating success and acheivement with unique imagery works wonders as well, and creativity, style, and finesse does too

Here's another cool image that was enhanced and beautified!

Not much time today, buddy; customers beckon. Impressive numbers; my best has just over 6000 views, so I have a ways to go to match your output. Well done Mike!

I am amazed but not surprised. I am going to come back to this hub and read everything you wrote. This is my project for the next two days. Of course I want to know how you did it and maybe by reading I will be one step closer. Obviously along with being a really great writer you have worked at how to make this happen. With that being said I not only am impressed but genuinely happy for this success. what else can I say???

Thanks Bill for the comment, and you know how is bro, we have no control of how these search engines rank our articles, or of the traffic that comes to them.

All we can do is pray, besides sharing socially and all, but that doesn't work to well for most writers, unless we are favored by the entire community, or some other networks outside of hubpages you know.

@carol7777, thank you so much for you honesty expressed you're expressed here. It is important to share and all but like in your latest hub about taking a HP vacation, balance is the true key to maintaining stability anywhere online.

To me comments are merely a measure of your social aptitude, popularity for the most part and many other technical reasons of a personal nature for each person who chooses to share such things digitally.

So what I mean is, I only care but so far when it comes to sharing factors when someone chooses to comment and share with me, I care more however about what I placed onto the screen, because I am trying my best to help people one word at a time.

I'm so glad Carol that you've considered actually reading my hub in its entirety, which I'm sure many people do not do, as they skim away here thinking its going to get them somewhere commenting up a storm LOL, when its not in the end.

As they say, the truth will always come to light!

Well Done CloudExplorer, that is definitely a great achievement. My highest scoring hub has over 8,500 views and coincidentally, is also a response to a Q&A! I would love to get 20,000 on a hub eventually but I'm still learning :o)

CloudExplorer profile image

CloudExplorer 4 years ago from New York City Author

@Jools99, thank you for the comment and for sharing with me.

I only had control over the way the hub was presented, and Google search has done all the rest. It was a hot topic on the web that I chose to write about, and so it has been a definitely strategy for me to research all that I detailed into it all, and I guess that is what it does indeed take to get our articles to set sail into the viral zone.

Research, research, research, and then applying content positioning helped me as well I guess, and with high quality relevance for every element implemented onto the screen. (Images, video etc...)

Oh and words of pure originality is important as well when, using well researched info, as well as link references being provided to give back credit and all. I believe that's how I done it, and with both articles that were the most successful here.

You're right of course, research is the answer! I tend to write about whatever happens to interest me at the time but what I like is not necessarily what other's like (in fact, ir's rarely what others are interestnd in!). I need to get more selective and do my keyword research first, make sure people want to read about the thing I am writing about first :o), then only getting 40 views will be a thing of the past.

@Jools99, Yeah It happened to me my entire first year, but I did it on purpose so I can help to support the hubpages community in a sincere manner, as I learned the ropes here along my way up with learning each day.

I made some cool friends and managed to learn a great deal in the process, and so that's why I have so much to share with folks thankfully today. Thanks again for the cool response.

Congrats! That is a huge accomplishment, getting 20,000 views on a single hub! I am very impressed. Good for you, and thank you for letting us know that it is possible--with a lot of hard work. What is your next goal? Have you hit a million views total yet?

Thanks for sharing this Mike and congratulations on your fast approaching achievement. My highest is 4,100 in 9 months. Still looking for the holy grail(s). Russ Moran

CloudExplorer profile image

CloudExplorer 4 years ago from New York City Author

@mpropp, I wish was doing that well here on hubpages but I'm still a newbie pretty much (:

I am very close to breaking 100,000 views maybe by next week or so, judging by the increase consistency of web traffic I've been getting recently, which is about 11,000+ views per month now, I've been fighting hard each day though to maintain such a steep increase in views for sure.

Thanks for the comment and for the inquiry, I hope that help a bit in seeing the bigger picture. I cool of hit the 100,000 mark with a mere 10 powerful hubs, but spent most of the time here my first year writing hubs for the community mostly, and over 50 poems, which has hurt my standings overall.

I will begin pushing commercial hubs soon and more evergreen ones to regain the potential lost, but it was worth it to help others as much as I could to earn my rank here and good standing web rep in the HP community.

@lrc7815, Hey there Linda, I am so glad that you decided to drop in.

Yeah I think many of us deserve to gain such online success today, because a great deal of us writers truly work hard at it all.

Its really a shame though that not every article that is actually written with high quality and with true helpful or useful human value, cannot recieve such a out poring of views, but you know we take whatever we can get today right!

Thanks for commenting and for sharing I truly appreciate your support.

CloudExplorer profile image

CloudExplorer 4 years ago from New York City Author

@rfmoran, Thank bro, yeah it was one of those moments that makes you wonder why it doesn't occur with each and every hub we write.

I discovered something though that is quite profound in writing all that I have, and one of these days I shall lay it all out graphically, and make it clearly visible with simplicity so everyone can fully understand it all. Hopefully this can help others to benefit from in the future here on hubpages and beyond. (Like using MS Powerpoint presentations via screen capturing videos and placing them onto Youtube etc... and then sharing it here on HP into a informative tutorial hub)

Topics/Titling are the number one keys to attracting viewers (combined with well balanced high quality visual content as well), following trends that are evergreen in nature are the other, and I'm currently trying to create my own niche now, which is by far the toughest thing to accomplish, which is comparable to owning your own brand online.

Now attempting to do such a thing without being overly promotional on hubpages or elsewhere is truly all the challenge in itself for sure, but it is doable. Youtube I do believe is the final master key, video power above all trumps everything online, and even social elements as well.

Daunting. That's the word I would choose. Daunting. As an up and coming writer (and coincidentally, new hubber) I'm looking forward to putting more articles on Hubpages. I have wayyyyyy too much to learn but you have to start somewhere. I have a yearning to leave the daily grind of a regular workday and work from home. I'm practically clamor ing for it..... So this article is definitely helping. I am especially intrigued in the networking part. I have to re-read this over and over but I'm hoping I will eventually get the hang of it. Thank you for your contributions Cloudexplorer.

@Kasman, Thanks for that in-depth insightful comment there and for sharing.

Yes indeed it can be a very daunting task while trying to figure things all out alone, and if someone expects to learn and master it all here on hubpages in a short period of time. (It takes years to master hubbing, and the web in general so to me its like being in college)

This is actually a true online writers career choice I do believe, and they even have a school sort to speak for those who are seeking extra help to master the craft of hub writing, they call it the apprenticeship program.

I love what they've done as a whole on hubpages and its definitely become a great place to develop our writing skills, and to learn to succeed online as a web master as well.

Good morning Mike from lake erie time ontario canada 8:09am and a heartfelt congratulations on 20,o00 views plus on one single hub - you are a terrific writer anyway and a real true hub team player.

I see that you are one of the hottest men at the Hub - lol - you make me look like a boy scout - lol - so here I am sending you warm wishes and good energy to you and hoping that you are okay after the tragedy of Hurricane Sandy

CloudExplorer profile image

CloudExplorer 4 years ago from New York City Author

@epigramman, Hey budd I'm so happy to see your comment here, and we go way back to my first newbie days here on hubpages. I'm stunned myself actually to see such performance of a single hub article, and I only could wish all of them could have done such a thing.

However, I do know that I have written many articles that aren't search worthy.

I done it mostly for all of us to learn from, and for the web of honest people whom are in seek of reality, of being real today rather then being so gimmick imitation of a whatever they claim themselves to be.

This was an extremely heavy burden and path to take as a writer, and its safe to say I have arrived and am not ashamed to stake such a claim today.

Why not right!, when success is merely a matter of ones own level of acceptance to which they truly perceive as surpassing ones boundaries, and making it to their personally set goals.

Thanks bro for being so kind to have shared with me, and I'll be seeing you in your hubs soon too.

Awesome stuff @Mandy M S, yeah google has been a bit tough on us all lately so when ever things start getting back to normal, or close to it, it does feel good for sure. I have 3,000 views more to go to catch up to my normal stats flow and all.

I really worked super hard to get there, and even harded to get it all back, but yup Google is definitely one of the major reasons for sure.

Thanks for the comment and for sharing and its nice to meet ya for the first time.

This truly is a big achievement Mike. Congrats!! I gather from your hub that quality is of prime importance and then writing about stuff that people need information about. These 2 factors can shoot traffic up to a hub.

Voted up and useful and sharing.

Thanks @rajan jolly, its a tough thing to see at first for new hubbers you know all the rules, the smartest approaches to hub writing and all, and so I did my very best to discover all that I could my first year and to help others along my journey here.

It's indeed been a fun learning experience thus far being a writer here at hubpages, and I'm looking forward to learning much more, and helping more folks whenever and however I can.

Oh and thanks again for sharing, Happy holidays! to you and yours.

Well done! I would love to have one single hub that garners that many views, but I don't do any marketing, and I think that is the problem. I get OK views and I do ALL of the things you're supposed to do minus the marketing. I've been told I write well , etc...so the marketing must be what makes the difference. At any rate, good for you! Obviously, you're doing things right!

CloudExplorer profile image

CloudExplorer 4 years ago from New York City Author

@TIMETRAVELER2, For me it wasn't about marketing and all with the hot hub that got such high stats thus far, actually it was the subject I chose to write on, and it was something I located on Yahoo one day.

I was determined to write my own article on the exact same subject and so I did as much research as I could and walla it definitely took this hub into the super high traffic views zone.

I also think its all about how you position your content, add visual elements and all. The more attractive you make your hubs the and more relevant as well to that of our viewers interest, the higher they will score in all ways possible for sure.

Thanks for the comment and for sharing with me.

CloudExplorer profile image

@tillsontitan, oh yes indeed its a tough job trying to master all that it entails to get a single hub to digitally take off, and some folks have mastered the formula of powerful hub writing naturally, but for me its really tough because I make so many grammatical errors.

Thanks for the comment and for sharing I am so glad you found this hub to be of use and relevance to you.

CloudExplorer profile image

CloudExplorer 4 years ago from New York City Author

@bravewarrior, thank you so much Brave, it wasn't easy to keep steam rolling these hubs out as I've done.
