Intense thorough review of Hubpages

I give Hubpages 5 Stars

5 stars for Hubpages

Writing here is powerful! indeed

Long terms success is better

I'm in it to win it, and in it for the long term success on hubpages, and no matter the online issues we all are going through daily. For the most part I consider HP my personal learning center to master the art of writing online, to enhance my social communications skills, expand my online career aspects, portfolio, and so much more. Let's not forget how many real world contacts we can and have made here that's truly more priceless than gold or money when you really think about it all over time. What I never expected prior to joining it here was to meet some super cool people and surprisingly I made some super cool friends I entitled, "Hubpages Super hubbers and my super friends" around mid-summer this year.

I love the hubpages community (showing gratitude), because there is no place like it on the planet, or on cyber space, and mainly because there are kindred spirits here, and writers like myself who seek the truth, seek to pore out their life's pursuits, seek to find smarter ways to do things, seek to make others happy.

Many writers here have also come to try and make a difference with their words by writing words of hope, words that heal others, words that can mend hearts, looking to cure illnesses & diseases, by simply attempting to become a writing force of true change for this hurting world, and for countless millions of people who need the moral support, the well researched knowledge and from field experts who have loads of useful pertinent information of their own people are indeed in quest for online.

Some hubbers really go hard!

Many of these cool hubbers have lead me into differing dimensions of thought processes, some have even inspired me to write entire hubs of my own about their articles (Hubs about hubs). I have learned a great deal about creating myself a much healthier lifestyle, by hubbers like MissOlive, and by Rajan Jolly.

I learned how to live a much better frugal lifestyle, by my good friend Bill Holland. Learned how to utilize social platforms such as Facebook to create my very own professional groups where hundreds of writers are teaming up at to share each others online works daily, and nightly and from all around the globe.

What does this writers network mean to you

Hubpages stands for much more then just a writers network to me, I have found ways to make great friendships digitally, to broaden my virtual lifestyle, and digital horizons, and where no other network has made such a thing possible. I was able to create my very own online movement here, and have extended it onto Youtube, and it is known today as the Art of being real online.

Hubpages has taught me how to balance out my digital communications between others, how to be mindful of other users online activities besides myself. Networking with my fellow hubbers here has taught me to be more caring as a online communicator, by learning to share with others fairly, and to be mindful of that of my very own activities as well (Hubtivity). I learned so many unique things from reading the most profound articles in various topics, 1000's of useful ones from creative minds like myself.

The positive outlook on things as a Hubpages community member

There are so many positive factors about what has occurred for me, and ever since I joined it here on hubpages I can keep on going for days typing all about it.

Good people like Just Ask Susan has established herself to be well known and have a powerful presence here on hubpages as a great author, her hubs are loaded with relevant content to share with us all, and I love her recipes she writes so elegantly, and so accurately. With great authors to read from like her, why would anyone wanna leave the hubpages community for, or quit writing here its a puzzling question to me.

Maybe some folks who may have recently looked into leaving hubpages due to low traffic statistics, have only been here for the monetary values it seems. However I have many reasons why I love it here as a author, and many of those reasons I've indeed pointed out earlier in this article.

Now, if anyone wants to determine how dedicated a fellow hubber truly is, to that of the HP community here overall, all one needs to do is just look at their HP accolades and activities on their profile they've managed to crank out (Hubpages tracks everything we do and don't do here using what is known as the HP algorithm). Many of us remain focused and show the hub loving support for one another, by poring it all out onto many pages we write titled Hublove hub articles, which is proof of this testimony.

Supporting the hubpages community (1 year overview of HP community support) is one of my primary goals I have indeed achieved, and thanks to this supportive platform, as well as awesome community its been possible. So this is why hubpages is the network for me to share my potential online, as well as many others, and I don't plan on going anywhere else, and I am here for the long haul for sure.

Have no fear folks, because there's great writers here

What we all face as authors online

Personally I have no physical job, no company I work for, no huge bank account with loads of money stashed in it, or what have you. I am a self employed individual who is simply in search for a much more prosperous approach to making a living.

I do love the fact that I can earn a passive income on this writers network, but it isn't my only means of earning online income, and I work hard online in every way shape or form to earn anything. (I also love using Youtube as well, and other networking websites that I'm responsibly for developing professionally myself to earn revenue.)

I know many of us who stay at home basically are in the same boat, whether we are running online businesses, a sole proprietorship, retired, or what have you. Those of us who do this hubbing thing full time understand what its like to write and write so intensely at times our retna's may be on fire literally, burning from staring at the screen to long. Our dedication to writing, and communicating online is truly relentless at times for the most part.

Overall hubpages is a great professional writers platform

The reason why I feel that hubpages is such a great platform today is because it continues to evolve in such a way that helps leverage things in an upwards motion, while other websites for writing tend to lag far back.

The visual aspects of this writers network has been changed in such a way, to enhance the viewers experience, to help people navigate the pages here of such articles. The new hubpages profiles of our authored locations are superb when it comes to visually showcasing our digital works (They truly do have attractive appeal, and great website design functionality for us hub writers and online guests). Overall the network here since all the updates within my first year as a hubber, has been quite the adjustment, but none of it is to tough to figure out, and the user interface of our my account section is loaded with useful tools that makes hubpages hands down one of the best, if not the best online writing tools out on the web period (Plus it has a powerful social community that tops them all).

Conclusion

With all this being stated I rate hubpages and done so at the very beginning of this article as a 5 star experience overall, and no matter what difficulties we've all gone through in regards to our very own personal web traffic.

The staff here are kind enough to respond to our requests for making realistic changes, as was done with the idle hubs (A cool article inspired by fellow hubber Bard of Ely) thingy issue recently, and so many other things people have up for thoughtful reasonable insight, and or discussion to have such adjustments made. (The forum he presented his issue, which may have led to it all getting changed recently)

This kind of positive feedback system that the administrators, staff and owners of hubpages have implemented here makes it state of the art bar none superb! in my most honest opinion and I highly recommend for anyone looking to earn a respectable passive income over time to join us.

You will need to follow the terms of use, comply with Google's updates (Them Darn Penguins & Panda's go hard too, so we gotta go harder or go home), visit the HP learning center from time to time, and try to learn a great deal about hubpages SEO, and SEO of the web, in order to eventually succeed here as a writer.

All in all if done right, in the end its definitely well worth the long term investment of energy, thorough research, and dedication to a awesome community of like minds. Plus you can potentially become a sought after expert at writing top quality articles here at Hubpages and for the world of online viewers on the worldwide web as a whole.

Well done my friend. That is exactly how people who write here or have ever written here should look at the experience. I didn't start writing here to make a million bucks, I write here because I was able to find myself here and along that journey I have found friends and kindred spirits that understand that demons in the closets, as well as the off the wall thought that becomes a hub. Great hub Mike-absolutely wonderful!

Wow! Holly stole my lines from me, but Holly is pretty cool so I don't mind. :)

Great hub! I love hearing that people love HP! I always believe you get what you put into something; there are no free rides, and you have to want success on HP and be willing to work for success on HP.

Then how do we measure success? Well, buddy, I am rich with success and very little of it is money. Look at the cool people I have met and yes, you are tops in my book; look at how I have grown as a writer because of HP.

Yep, I love HubPages!

keep being real brother!

You have summed up the HP experience perfectly. Before joining HP I had only written for school and a few newsletters for a cemetery. I had no idea what it meant to write or be a writer. All I knew is that I wanted to try it. HP has been amazing. A perfect place to try new styles, meet great writers and great friends, and maybe with time make a few bucks.... Great job with this.... See you around Hubland.

@H.C Porter, yay! haven't seen you around for a while but I am so glad that you've located this hub of mine. I love hubpages so much because of the friends I've made, to cool hubbers I've met, and its just a sense of freedom I get while writing here, and for my articles to take lift off every now and then is monumental to say the least.

There truly isn't an online portal like hubpages, and I owe these guys and gals in a huge way whom have allowed my words to flow across these computer screens, and some day I will repay such a debt to each and everyone who's made it possible for me to get noticed for sure.

Thanks for taking the time to review my article and for sharing HC.

@billybuc, you of all people know how Hard I wenton hubpages and off as well. You my friend have been to more of my hubs then even I have, I don't visit them often, i try not to look back, and instead look forward, but lately when that idle hub thing hit, my stats shot down tremendously so I was forced to take huge steps back and refine my writing techniques, as well as editing, and proof reading.

I hate keyboards, as I've stated many times before in the past, and they are much of my downfall here as a writer, but on a positive note what makes up for my lack in word powers, is the strength of communications with other great authors here such as you Bill.

We forged a powerful connection digitally Bill that no one can take from us both, written entire hubs about one another, and this shows hugely how powerful this writers network, and community truly is. We even joined forces on a positive initiative to bring real change, justice to humanity, and much more on here.

This is also another reason why I love hubpages, because our words indeed do mean something, and have real world effectiveness.

Thanks bro for all the support and care you've given little ole me, and I will never ever forget you, you are my truest dear friend, even if we are separated by miles and miles of land mass.

@DanaTeresa, I second the motion HP is definitely a great place, yes indeed more of us need to try to encourage others to write for a greater purpose, then just focusing alone on the monetary aspects, and even if some folks have become so comfortable with their earnings.

Things change, evolution is inevitable, and so we all must adjust with the growing tides of change that is ever so apparent, and even life altering, just as what happened recently on the ground in the East Coast with them massive storms.

Thanks for showing your hub love and support for me and for HP.

@Diane Woodson, thank you so very much for the awesome comment and recent sharing you've been doing with me and all across the web.

Hubpages is a one of a kind web location for sure, and anyone can benefit from hubbing effectively, but they need to realize that quality counts much more then anything, as well as making effective communications between others here who help us.

No doubt I will not stop, I will continue to go hard and as hard as I can go!

@Deborah Brooks, oh yes Debbie who doesn't love hubpages right, I have no clue why folks would ever leave this cool network when its a place for our creative talents to develop, adapt, and to flourish, and also for us all to learn as well as share with one another pretty much.

Thanks for showing me so much hub love as you do, and I will do my very best to make it back to your hubbing side of town as well, chat with you soon.

@Debby Bruck, once again you have shown love to me today, and for that I shall definitely at your hubpages doorstep sort of speak, and thanks for the cool comment up there, its tough to get folks to care for our hubs, but one things for certain if we write them as Bill stated in his hub with a flare of authenticity from the core of our true writers voice, well it make open up the flood gates for sure.

Cheers to powerful writers, and powerful hub articles!

Oh and thank you very much once again I do indeed appreciate the hub love you've rendered to me today Debby, see you soon on your hubs.

Thanks @cclitgirl, yes this writers network is such a lovable one indeed, and thanks to people like yourself, and many of our fellow hubbers that make it very lively here. If it wasn't for all the good folks who share with one another here, I don't think this would be such a great place.

I also think that HP the rules and automated systems here, keep many of us tamed to such a degree that it works out even better over time for the real folks who have good conduct, because all them bad seeds don't have a chance to flourish here at all, them spammer types and all.

Thanks @rfmoran, this is an amazing community there's no doubt about that, and even if many hubbers have potentially got dis-chanted or discouraged from all the web traffic drops and all.

I have to agree, this hub page community really is special. I'm a newbie and so many many people have helped me grow. I agree with the 5 star rating completely!

Mike - Looks like I'm late to the party! Oh well, better late than completely absent. The Hub community is definitely a better caliber than I've found anywhere else. We tend to be extremely supportive of each other at every opportunity, and even have each other's backs when an outsider troll makes an appearance. I'm here to keep fresh my writing skills and allow my mind to run free as it creates all types of writings. Making money has never been a primary goal as creative writing only sells everywhere but Google. I write to entertain, amuse and, as I said, keep my skills tuned up for my book project. I'm just happy to have never had a ZZZ (as so many creative writers have experienced) , at least to this point. Great hub, my friend!

Yippee, I love writing here and just found a good score on a work I did just a few days ago, its the highest yet and I am totally thrilled ....writing takes lots of my time and do lots of juggling home responsibility with it, but this is worth every minute...if not one more person ever reads what I write I am happiest to know am doing what I enjoy. Mike, great job! I love HP too and I learn something about life and writing every single day, just by being a participant in this HP process. It's work, for sure and anyone who thinks it's easy to be a writer, hasn't tried it. I am certain though, that to have success on HP, you have to interact and communicate with other hubbers. If you don't appreciate the value of people, maybe there are better options for you. But for me, this his home. I love the people I have met and I treasure the feedback they give me. You did HP justice with this peace. Voted up!

This is why I love hubpages, because so many cool folks choose to communicate like this, and even if they have just met one another, awesome, awesome, awesome!!!!!

CloudExplorer profile image

CloudExplorer 4 years ago from New York City Author

@lrc7815, Yes indeed Linda it's truly all about our communications levels here, and not all of us know how to effectively communicate today.

Overall though I found that even if certain individuals have fallen by the wayside here on hubpages, a vast majority of us have found it to be much wiser to communicate with others in caring, and much more loving mannerisms, which tend to be far better then spreading negativity or that of ignorance.

This is yet another reason why I love it here, and won't ever leave this writers community, or will I ever stop writing here.

Thanks for your awesome insightful comment you left for me here, it has supplied me sufficient food for thought indeed.

Cheers to Hubpages! and all the super friends we've made here as well as super hubbers who lead the way!

It is frustrating to write for an online site where your traffic ebbs and flows like the tide, or has sudden ups and downs like a stock market. But you have mentioned a great list of reasons we should continue onward, since there is much more to writing than the earnings and traffic flows. It is important to keep your eye on your main goals. Voted up.

Oh Cloud,

I am sorry I have missed some of you recent hubs of late, but my mother is very ill, so I am trying to catch up slowly.

HubPages is a really great community of very gifted writers as well as those who are "in the know" on the latest technology, such as yourself no doubt about that fact. HP is a great place to write whatever it is you want to write about, to be encouraged and to encourage others and to, as you always say, "spread Hub love."

God bless you and I pray you and your family have the best Thanksgiving ever, as we all have much to be thankful for indeed!

Voted Way up and sharing

Mike, I am late to the party...again. What a great hub you have written. I love that you keep it real. You don't pretend that everything HP is perfect. But like you said, HP has value that most other sites do not have. I have met the most amazing people here on HP who just happen to be incredible writers too. I would trade the passive money in a heartbeat to maintain those friendships. I haven't proved it yet but I'm convinced that longevity, good content, and patience will pay off here. So yes, you bet I'm in it for the long haul. Keep writing because I learn something everytime you do.

@Millionaire Tips, thank for the comment and for sharing with me here, it is true that things online have gotten harder then ever when it comes to achieving success, and on any platform, mostly because everyone is tightening up things and all since they long gone days of people just earning quick money from putting up teasers, and spam as well to make it.

Bootlegging online is getting the back burner pretty much, but its also hurting us authentic authors because at times when search engines get updated for filtering purposes we also get swept into the mix as well, so we must be mindful of it all and work smarter to survive it all for sure.

@Faith Reaper, yes Faith hub loving support is the key to this networking community of writers, and I learned a great deal in my short time of hubbing thus far.

You and I have become good friends along our digital voyage together here and in the community, reading each others words of hope, worldly wisdom we have attained or experienced ourselves and of desire to live in a much better world today.

I believe it is a god send that such a writers network actually exists today, because if it weren't for hubpages none of us would have such a powerful communicative outlet, because much of the other networks aren't as cordial, and as easy to utilize to share with others in ways that we do here on hubpages, this place is definitely one of a kind.

Thanks for your awesome comment to me, and I miss reading your hubs as well, and will try to make it back to your location some time soon too. Have a wonderful holiday!

CloudExplorer, reading this hub straight-from-your-heart to give "some" or "many" of us a boost, puts me on a cloud. Each time I read something like you write, kicks some encouragement on me because honestly, there are times that I feel lazy on HP; less spirited, that is, though I love this website as a virtual outlet to gain friends and knowledge through their thoughts and words, and where I can express my work as well. But once I have my fingers on the keyboard browsing on hubbers' hubs and writing a new one my own, it is hard to stop which takes a real whole day.

Thank you once again, CloudExplorer. You have just taken your readers a free ride to the skies.

@tillsontitan, no doubt about that I am not going anywhere I have found the home for my words, and for much of my online potential as well, because there really is no pressure to do anything besides enjoy myself reading and writing as much as I choose to do.

The strength of the community here seems to be in our collective communications amongst one another, and in all ways possible, and this I have learned for sure from the very start of becoming a active HP community member.

Now, the balancing act of doing such a thing is tough though with all the other networking some of us are doing as well, but one things for certain it truly is worth the juggling of it all for sure, if we manage to work it into our real world intense life schedules.

Thanks again for visiting and supporting my hubbing efforts, I'll definitely get to your hubs soon as well, enjoy your Turkey day if you indeed celebrate it, and happy holidays.

When I first became a hubber your articles were some of the first ones I had the pleasure of stumbling onto and reading through and through, your hubs on improving ones grammar definitely helped me to correct many of my errors, and I still make many, but any help I could get at the time and still to this day helps me in a huge way for sure. I was also blown away to learn that you had earned 3 hubs of the day back then.

You quickly became a role model to me, and I commend you on maintaining such an excellent approach to online writing, and the level of professionalism, high quality usefulness and the visual appeal you exhibit within your hubs stands out, and in every way possible.

I learned much from how you position your content, and organize your text levels, and so what I'm saying is without getting to know people like yourself in this writers community, I would still be lost, and I've met 100's of other great authors here with the same amazing potential as you that have also helped me to see the light.

I still need improvements on my online skills, pursuits to achieve goals and all, but I would like to say thanks for taking the time to rate my hub here, and to have been a great role model for us all for the most part, your level of success here online helps us all to have hope in our own efforts as well.

Chat with you soon Marisa in your hubs.

Great hub - I love Hubpages ! it is such a nice community and you can really learn some stuff here. I keep telling my Spanish friends to check out Hubpages. A lot of them don't speak a lot of English but they can read English ok. I have noticed that most of them are now checking out some of the great Christmas ideas which can be found on Hubpages

and the recipes are popular with my Spanish friends as well. What makes Hubpages so special are the people that write here. Annie

@mperrottet, thanks so very much for the support on this hub here, and for your kind words you rendered to me, I think the staff here are awesome indeed, and even if I haven't really communicated much to them besides trying to become a Hubpages Elite or the newer version of a volunteer known as the Hubpages Welcome wagon team.

They are cool folks to work with for sure here, and I see all the results of their hard working efforts to help us all shine here on their network and beyond.

So we owe it to them to do our very best we can, to communicate fairly, and especially for the fact that they made it so visually appealing here recently to publish digitally our written works, and provided us with such a fully functional platform to do so as well. I just love it here, hupages is amazing!

@coffeegginmyrice, your welcome and I'm so happy you feel encouraged by that of my writings, it could only have come from the truest experiences as a highly active community member here on hubpages from the time I've joined and as a fellow author as well receiving some much love from others along the way to keep me going.

I understand how you feel for sure, as a writer here its not always easy to do it all alone, and when we communicate from hub to hub, we feel a sense of self worth, and this is where the community has its true strength for sure.

I wish you much success on your travels, and hubbing experiences as well and I truly appreciate you taking the time to share with me your thoughts and for supporting my writing efforts here as well.

@Music-and-Art-45, welcome to an amazing experience online, where it almost feels like its a real world of ideas that just somehow come to life, because we all get to engage with other powerful minds daily and nightly. We also get to peek into how each others beautiful minds tick, and in every way shape or form that people actually choose to share their thoughts.

This is what I sense the hubpages community has become pretty much, because its words primarily that we are making communications with, and well constructed ones at that, and even if there's just screen names behind these thoughts, its quite amazing when you think about it all.

Thanks for joining in, for commenting, and for sharing with me here, I will try to repay the favor soon.

@carol7777, thank you so much for your support and kind words here that you left me.

I am trying as hard as I can to make things work for us all, and by doing my part.

I know its tough just doing things all alone, or feeling as if we are here all alone in it, so this is where the community comes in for sure.

I love hubpages so much because of all of us sharing and caring for each other, we make it happen here, us authors and that is something no one can deny.

More support, Go Cloud Go and keep the work going....as tiring mentally as writing is you sure keep producing with vigor!!! I for one am glad our work is kept here so that we can all relate to it at a later time, finding nuggets to keep us writing....even when block occurs....!!! When I read your Hubs I am inspired to keep writing writing writing.

@Diane Woodson, thank you so much for the much needed support here on this hub of mine, God knows I worked my tail off on HP, it does indeed feel good to know that folks appreciate our efforts and whatever it is we accomplish today.

I'm so happy that you feel that way after reading many of my hubs, and it goes to show that we all indeed make a true difference for one another for sure.

Great post here. I have not had the wondrous experience as you have had here. I will leave it at that. I did write my experiences on another's hub about Hubpages though this morning. I do not beleive I am following you though and will check that out right now.

It's cool we all have our share of differing experiences here in life, and especially online. I just hope that we all learn from them whatever we have gone through, felt we've been put through etc...

Thanks for taking the time to share your thought with me, and for caring to give my article a chance. Have a lovely day Lady Guinevere.
