Frankly: HubPages (review)
I always felt shy about sharing my writings except with family. I write in some other languages and I started by translating my own work to be able to share with a special person. That's how I started writing in English though I am yet learning the language. I found it helpful and I made of writing a method to learn any language I want. You can say I write to learn, this is why every comment of yours on my hubs is very important to me. You were a real support for me and I hope you always will be.
I still feel shy that the others know who is behind these hubs. Many of my friends read my hubs without knowing that the work they read is mine. Maybe this is why I joined HubPages. Here I can share discretely.
I could understand the social part of HubPages recently. I was taking it as a place where I can share some of my works, and even when reading the others' works, I admired them silently. I never gave importance to how many people will be reading my hubs. For me, already sharing was a big exploit. But all this changed when HubPages community gave much importance to one of my hubs. I was absent for sometime and when opening my mail, I found a lot of messages coming from HubPages. For a while, I couldn't understand what was happening. But when I realized that it talks about one of my hubs and that work especially, it was unbeleavable. I started caring about my hubs statistics, checking everytime whether people are interested to read them, and trying to follow some forums and discussions quietly.
After that, I left HubPages for more than two months. I had a lot to do in life that I stopped writing. When coming back, I had to restart from the beginning and to build again all the notions I learned here. And this time too, I was supported by all of you. Thank you.
I am bit noisy now. I can speak out, comment, participate in forums,... In short, I am trying to follow your precious advice.
In conclusion, as entitled "Frankly", I have to keep being frank with you. I was writing this as an introduction on my profile. I couldn't stop words so it got longer and decided to share it here. Some experiences might be helpful for the others, and I hope this one too :)
