How to Add Adsense Above the Navbar On Blogger

Learning Simple HTML For Blogs

If you have never had to do any kind of html coding at all and you are starting your first blog. You might feel a bit overwhelmed. With Blogger and Wordpress and other platforms however, you do not really need that much knowledge of HTML. However, if you want to switch it up a little bit and create something that is unique and not like everyone else's blog. Then you will need to learn a little bit here and there. Nothing too complicated, I have been creating blogs and online magazines for a couple of years now and I am finding it really exciting and interesting. People always ask me though, especially with Blogger, how I manage to get adverts above the navigation bar. Here is a quick tutorial, nothing too complicated. Anyone can do it. Good luck!

1. The first thing you need to do is sign into your blogger interface. Click on design which should be on the top right hand side of your screen.

2. Now click on Edit HTML. You should now find something that looks like a notepad full of code. Copy and paste this into a notepad so you don't lose all the information. Check the box Expand Widget Template.

3. Now you need to look for the code that you are going to change. So use the Ctrl +F function on your keyboard. So, press Ctrl and then press F right after. A search box should appear, then copy and paste the following code.

<div class='region-inner header-inner'>

The code should appear in red, directly underneath that code you should find the following code.

<b:section class='header' id='header' maxwidgets='1' showaddelement='no'>

You need to replace the values '1' and the value 'no' with '3' and 'yes'

That is the coding part done! You can now go ahead and save the template.

4. Now go to layout and you should see the add a gadget function above the navbar. Add gadget and choose Adsense, and follow the options. That is it!

When it is finished it should look something like it looks on this site
