How to Unlink Analytics Account in Google Adsense

Sometimes you link up the wrong Google Analytics account in Adsense account. This article talks about such a scenario where you you need to unlink those accounts before you link up the right account. The answer is simple.

The advantage of integrating Google Analytics account with Adsense account is that you can receive statistics details from the latter.

To unlink your accounts:

  1. In your AdSense account, on the Home tab, visit the Account settings page.

2. In the "Access & authorization" section, next to "Google Analytics integration," click edit.

3. On the “Google Analytics integration” page, click Unlink next to the Analytics account that you want to unlink from your AdSense account. A new window opens and you’re taken to your Analytics account.

In Analytics, click the Unlink AdSense account link in the bottom right of the page.

Your AdSense and Analytics accounts are now unlinked. Most of the times this works. But what if this technique doesn't work. Well, then just like any other Google Problem you need to contact them in the forums. I faced a similar situation when I linked up GA and Adsense accounts. In that case I used this review unlink request by Google to complete the disintegration of Google Analytics and Adsense.

You need to provide the "Contact Email address" and "Publisher Id" of your Google Adsense account. The contact email address will be used to send any messages or email replies.

You can also contact Adsense support if you have any further issues. Here is the link to Adsense support. Hope you are successful with your unlink process and can re-link to the desired Google Analytics account from your Adsense tool. If you have any problems after following the above solutions, please let me know in the comments section. I will try to help though I'm not an expert in this issues or no way connected to Google.
