Introduction to hubpages

Most of my friends on hubpages, ask me personally, if I'm getting any earning from hubpages. And this hub is the answer for all such questions. how to make money from hubpages- my personal experience.

Hubpages is one of the best online community site, where in we could share our knowledge and experience on a handful of areas of our interest. Along with sharing and acquiring knowledge, it provides a platform to earn on our writing.

I got introduced to hubpages, while I was going through one of the best financial magazine in Malayalam - "SAMPADHYAM", where in there was an article, in which it was explaining- how we could earn online, via writing...

I was really impressed and since the magazine was a very reputed one, I was sure that this wont be fake, as of then, I had tried many online writing websites, but all of them asked money first.

Anyway, I thought to give it a try.. After going through some of the hubs, I thought , I will start with a recipe hub, and I published, my first hub on MARBLE CAKE ...

Friends on Hubpages

Get as much as possible followers and follow others and their hubs... Become popular among the community by reading possible hubs and get inspired from those hubs... I have got a good deal of friends over here in the hubpage communities, who often visit my hubs and encourage me... it is really a gift to have such friends to promote us and that too from every nook and corner of this world!!!

How to start on hubpages ? How I started?

Once I published, the first hub, I started on how I could get earning from hubpages.. I just wandered through the learning centres of hubpages, the perfect area to find answers to your doubts on hubpages and found out that I need to register for the google adsense.

I got ad sense account from one of my blog spot only. I was owning the same and applied for ad sense around 2 years back and they rejected. But once I started hub pages I just again applied with the hub - abortion-my view, which was published in the blog spot for the first time and within a week I got approved.

Later after 2 months I joined Hubpages and I could complete the processes so easily and also I applied for ebay and amazon programs..

later I completed my tax info in hubpages and configured my paypal account, and then with in two- three weeks i could find that there was some earnings!!!! seemed like .01$ in first week itself... Since I noticed that there is income coming, I got encouraged and started working for my further hubs....

How to Earn and what types of Hub helped me to earn?

I get most of my earning from the stitching hubs - How to stitch churidar, cute frock etc and also on the traditional kerala recipe hubs like, palappam, idiyappam, kadala curry etc and on the info regarding - income tax, passport, mutual fund, pan card, online bill payements of water, mobile bills etc

Placing relevant ebay capsule will help you much, I don't find any earning from Amazon, so I'm just using ebay in my Hubs...

Please see my views and hits of the hubpages to understand, how it works.

What Should your Hubs Contain or Cover ?

Now a days, we could find which all hubs are featured or not. Try making your hubs featured, then rest will be taken care by hubpages.. Now from my experience, the hubs that earns me more is one that readers love to read, and search more often.

Not much people are interested in our family or personal stuffs. Hubpages is a platform , where we should share those information that you are familiar and others may search for ... Say for example, I get the most hit on my Hub - How to stitch a Churidar...

On an average, I get around 60 hits for this hub, daily!!!, isn't good enough to earn?? Thus please note that, those stuffs, that most of the people aren't aware and search for - needs to be written. Hubpages wont bring you earning , if u write what is concerned about you only..

what people are interested, that needs to written. While personally thinking, I had searched google many times, on stitching a churidar and those technical stuffs really bothered me.. so Once I got enough knowledge in churidar making, I just shared and it worked!!!

So if you are having some special knowledge, that will be useful to others, then go on make hub for it..

How to make your hubs featured ?

Now featured hubs, will bring traffic in its own. you need to do some keyword search, Title searches etc before writing a hub. Like, what keywords are usually used by people to search for something that you are going to write - include those keywords in first paragraphs of your hub and also in the titles...

The images included should follow image policy of hubpages, try including images of your own. Also use Title tuning tool to make your title search friendly. try using the capsules effectively to bring in more hits..

Warning!!!

Make sure that you write your own content.. It should not be copied from anywhere... Also try to accommodate photos of your own or give them credits.. Quality is all what is needed.

While creating a hub, think whether this will attract readers or not - Or else what is the use of publishing it ?

How much I'm earning now?

On the average , now I'm earning 15$ per month ( as of MARCH 2013) , without writing much for last month.. On the day a hub is published, there is a rise in the traffic. Again i could say that if you write a Good hub, it will earn for you for years!!!.

I know that once I publish more featured hubs, my average of 15$ will go up for a month and I'm on my way to improve the same...

Feel free to contact me if you need any further assistance...

Happy Hubbing!!!!

update on 02-Sep-2015

My average earning was $20-$25 up to few months back and I failed to update any hubs and write any new hubs, now the monthly earning is declining and has reached $5 per month.

So what I need to say is that you must regularly maintain your hubs and update yourself with new information and share them with the hub community. At least one hub per month would have made me in track.

I failed and now I am starting again on the same. Hope I can get back to track in 1 months’ time. Yes there is much more tools made available by the hub pages, we need to utilize the same at the full extent.

Summarizing......

  • Complete Adsense and other Ebay program registration and configure your paypal
  • Do Keyword search for what you are about to write.
  • Write one hub per day or try atleast two hubs in a week
  • Include atleast one ebay capsule, that suits to your hub
  • Make sure that what you write should be useful to others and try to make it featured
  • Go through learning center and try improve your hubs based on the same.
