The Babbler's Speech

Ladies and gentlemen of HubPages:

Lend me your ears!

The day of proclaiming the winners has come.It cannot be postponed.

With the unwritten consent given to me by HP management and staff, I will be your official 'babbler' as we feature the active and special hubbers in this online community.

I voted for the third time, writing names of my selected hubbers to be chosen among the busiest of hubbers in hub-land.

As you can see and read, most of their works are featured as Hub Of The Day (HOTD) or they're part of the Apprenticeship Program and Rising Stars winners.

Anyways, even if you can't hear me, I might as well share with you the important information from their profiles.

So, without much further ado, I'll help you get up close with each of them for autographs and speeches.

Note: babbler; plural noun: babblers

  1. a person who babbles
  2. Old World songbird with a long tail, short rounded wings, and typically a loud discordant or musical voice. (Source: Wikipedia)

Back in 2011...

When Hubbie Awards came to life, I felt giddy for the voting period.

I nominated most of my hubber-friends or those I came to know well during my first two years of active hubbing since 2009.

The video you will see is made by HP staff as they launched the additional project for all hubbers to know.

I am one of those who are inspired to strive more and get noticed by others who are well-known in this online writing community.

Fast-forward: Three years later, I'm one of the more supportive hubbers who will never miss voting for my favorite hubbers.

An eBook on WW1 by jimmythejock aka James Paterson

And who got the The HubPages Lifetime Award?

@MsDora: Thank you for clearly hearing my voice. Two days ago, I've seen a brown babbler up the coconut tree. I should have photograph it and also include it here. Unfortunately, I don't have a powerful camera to capture it. Well, anyways, congrats again for the award.

@teaches12345: Thank you for appreciating my 'thorough investigation' of those Hubbie Awardees. Most of them are my support system here at HP. It is simply my way of payback with the goodness they are leaving (comments, praises, etc.) once I publish a hub.

I voted once and since none of my nominated writers won, I must admit, I ignored this year's call to action. Oddly, most of the writers I voted for last time won this year. :)

You provided a succinct and very useful snapshot of the winners, well done.

Thanks for this very informative Hub. I never knew there were so many winners I remember this was being advertised when we ex squids were transferred over to HubPages.

I have booked marked this. I will go and have a look at their writing that's how I'm going to learn to be a better hub writer.

Hope you have had a great weekend.

@Elsie Hagley: Happy weekend, too, Granny Elsie. They're just part of the community of awesome online writers, including you and me. Thank you for lighting up my weary weekend.

I can't write in a daily basis but I'll see to it that I will contribute from time to time.
