Hubpages has changed for the better

The hubnuggets program on hubpages has always been such a awesome supportive program, that provides a launching platform for talented writers, who have recently joined the Hubpages writers network to try their skills at online writing. Rewarding them with a cool accolade to sport on their hubpages profiles, and potential community out pore of support for their talented writing efforts.

Recently though hubpages decided to make some renaming changes, and also redesigned the accolade icon for the old hubnugget's that were awarded at one time. Today the full revamping of the older hubpages look, appearance, and even functionality is coming into place. The Hubpages Team, web designers and all have been working tirelessly to make such an effort become effective for us hubbers both veterans, and new comers.

They done a spectacular! job with it all, and the place looks wonderful to say the least, and its becoming much more user friendly, as well as attractive with new hubpages profiles to top it off. This all in keeping up with the advancements, and online demands of the most recent 21st century online Internet industry website standards of excellence.

The Rising Stars Program

The replacement name that was selected is the Rising Stars & it replaced the Hubnugget name for the program. It's much more appealing and clear this time as to what the program fully represents on hubpages. Essentially the program is the same, but how it once was managed in the past was done by a select group known as the Hubpages Elite Team, and towards the end of this article its explained in detail as to what occurred with this new change.

The way it works for new Rising Stars, is there will be 18 top random hubs selected from that of the newest hubbers who have joined onto hubpages and published hubs within the first 60 days. This makes it a fair playing field, and the window for acceptance into this award system here also requires them to have at least the minimum of a hubbers score of 75. By learning to write a stellar hub (Elements of a stellar hub) that closely measures up to the high standards of what it is to write a hub of high quality here, this may truly be achieved.

There's locations on the hubpages learning center to learn how to write a stellar hub (Link above), and there's loads of advise as too what to do here as a writer in terms of placement of content, SEO, and what should be and not be linked onto your hubs, and all.

The Rules to the Hubbing game are fierce

Hubpages is not any ordinary writers network, there are well established, and well defined methods as to how to do things here, and then there are things that aren't so visible. Making efforts to learn all of what hubpages has to offer here for writers known as hubbers is solely up to that of the user seeking too learn more.

If you follow the terms of use, write with good grammatical skills in mind, research and make sure to keep things relevant, then your hubs may definitely have a fighting chance to make it to that Rising Star achievement level, which is a place many hubbers have made, and the rewards are long lasting as a writer here for sure.

Learning how to embrace the social elements here on hubpages don't have much effect on this program, but it also helps for those who need to gain votes if and when they are chosen to be up for the nomination of the award. Being mindful of your online activities here and elsewhere is the best way to work this factor out, and make sure to be active in all of your online communities before sharing such a fact of becoming nominated for this awesomely prestigious web award here on hubpages.

It's Hub History in the making

According to the official Hubpages Learning Center, the once hubnugget team of volunteers are no longer running the program which was community run in the past, their help and devoted efforts was truly priceless indeed, and always well received as well as appreciated by the Hubpages Team. Taking their place today however, is an automated polling system which was placed into the Topic Pages, and a new voting interface as well for detecting votes by fellow hubbers, and from that of the online community as a whole who all get a chance to vote for these new Rising Stars every week on Friday (These potential Rising Star hubs will be located on the their specifically selected Topic Pages & shown in a special carousel display for voting and sharing purposes, and for showing these hot! new hubbers loving support, thus crowning of 9 new lucky Rising Stars each week).

This has taken the heavy load off of these individuals who have volunteered, and making it capable of replacing such a program of human rounding up of hub potentials. Its history in the making here in hubville, and something to remember for all those who experienced it, participated, and benefited off of such a rewards program as the Hubnugget's program once was.

Hi CloudExplorer,

I feel sorta special being among those to receive the last of the original Hubnugget. It's an honor to come through during the transition period. Lol. :-0 Nice hub, informative.

Very informative hub on this new change. I will have to read up on how to vote for someone, as there is a really new great hubber who deserves this Rising Star honor. Do you know whether one can tell exactly which hub made them a Rising Star? I went to nightnight's profile page and did not know which hub won. Do you have to read all of the person's hub to find out, or am I just not seeing it? Thanks Mike.

In His Love, Faith Reaper

That's so awesome @janshares, that you were one of the last Hubnugget folks to earn that cool award before the transition occurred.

Congratulations on such a high praise worthy web achievement, and thanks for visiting my hub as well as sharing with me.

@Faith Reaper, thanks for checking this hubpas news update I came up with, I have no clue about that dude NightNight's hub Rising star awarded hub, and if they even indicate onto it.

I think there is no indication on such a hub though, I will indeed check on mine to see, but I don't believe there was one, so he will have to let folks know, or maybe you can find it out in one of the old Hubpages news letters.

Good Question though, I asked him which one on his hub I recently visited too, but forget that there is no indication like it is for hub of the day.

Might be able to shed some light on this… Your right there is no indication on which hub gets awarded. For me it was my 'how you can use social media to build your business' hub, thats the one! Thanks for your interest Faith Reaper as well :)

@always exploring, thanks for the insight and for sharing, yeah I like the new format for this Rising Star program as well, it definitely is better looking, and much more clear as well as to how the program works for new hubbers.

@Faith Reaper, Cool thanks for returning and getting in communications with NightNight, I'll soon be checking out his hub as well.

Oh as for the indication of a Rising Star hub's symbol or emblem, I don't think hubpages will change that aspect of indicating it onto the hubs that were awarded such an achievement here, because they never done so on the Hubnugget awarded hubs in the past, but who knows.
