I got some...You probably do too.
New Years Resolutions
Oh yes, it is that time of the year, the time where we all sit down and make our New Year’s resolution list. We strive so hard to manage that list for about a month or two. Sometimes, people actually keep up with it throughout the whole year. Well, my goal is to create a list, check more than twice, and make sure I finally complete my resolutions. So, I decided if maybe I list them and post them so my fellow hubbers can read them, then I might get some more motivation to completing them. This list might be the most manageable and encouraging list I have ever come up with. So here it goes……
Well, this first one is probably on a majority of other’s list but my first resolution is to become healthier. I just completed my first workout of the year today, so I have taken the first step. I need to get into shape as well as start back up to eating the right kinds of food. I also am focused on my water intake. I need to up that as well.
My second resolution on the list is to write more. I want to be at 200 hundred hubs by the end of the year. I have slacked off but I am now in full gear to start writing much more. I would also love to reach one hundred thousand views, but I will settle for fifty thousand.
Along with writing, I also would like to try and read more. Not just books, and educational things, but getting back to reading my fellow hubbers works. I need to get back to the wonderful writing community of Hubpages. After all, you guys are the ones who support my writings.
Another goal I have is to travel to some place I have never been. Last year I finally got to go to Asheville, North Carolina and it was an amazing trip. I think this year I want to head out somewhere west. Like Portland, Oregon, or Seattle Washington or maybe both.
Doing one productive thing a day is another resolution I am adding to this list. This will help with some of my other resolutions.
Getting back into church should be number one on this list, yet it is the most important one. Although I have a great relationship with God, I feel I need to do more on my end in supporting Him and going to church.
Being a better, nicer and more considerate person to strangers is another resolution I want to work on. I try to be a positive and friendly person, but sometimes I let the stress of my job or personal life get the better of me. So I really want to be a better person all around as well as work on my patience.
Another resolution on my list is to cook more. I want to try some many new recipes that I need to make this one a priority. Plus, now that the winter months are upon us, I know I won’t be grilling as much. So, it’s time to master the kitchen arts and start knocking out these recipes.
Getting A.B.O. certified and obtaining a better job/career is the last on my list. I have sat back to long and need to focus on completing this so many more doors will open for me. A.B.O. stands for American Board of Optometry. Once completing this I will become a certified Optician.
Well, there you have it, my list of resolutions. Not too bad, right? None of these things are impossible to accomplish. I owe it myself, my family and my fellow hubbers to complete this list. After all, don’t we all want a better life and a better you?
