My Hub Was The First Of 4730000 Google Results

Updated on May 5, 2011

You might get to the Google first page, or 101st page. Just write on!

Dear Readers and Fellow Hubbers,

I am pleased to share with you my minor achievement. The veterans amongst you might laugh but this is something new to me. A hub of mine entitled The Best Reference On Writing Sites That Pay For Your Articles had recently registered a surge of page views. I reviewed the traffic source and found that the traffic had come from Google. Out of curiosity, I googled for “writing sites that pay for your articles”. I was pleasantly surprised to find my hubpage showing at the top of the list, out of 4,730,000 results (see below). Even when I searched more broadly for “writing sites that pay”, my hub turned up to come third in 401,000 returns. I have to say it feels good as I did put my effort in writing the article and wanted it to be accessible to readers who are researching this particular topic. May I again share with you my belief: “Keep writing, they want to read it.” Of course, we can’t make it to the top with every article. Nonetheless, even if only a few readers have read your piece, emotion, thought, wisdom, good will, and care for fellow human being, has been exchanged. Getting to the first page of Google results may not mean much, except that you probably have planned your article, researched the topic, meant it to be helpful and written, and (most likely) edited it. Vow, that’s something that only the pro’s do, isn't it?. Aren’t we supposed to be only amateurs? I don’t think there are pro’s and amateurs. I think there are only people who write and people who think they would write. Write on, pal! You might get to the Google first page, or 101st page. Just write on!
