Tours and travels

There is a proverb in Kannada that means-'Read the books,Tour the world' .it means to say that man can enrich his knowledge and experience by these two things.I have done both these in my life. That has enabled me to speak and write on so many things, apart fron living with some intelligence.

Delhi is the capital city of India, spread on eoither sides of river Jamuna or Yamuna. The city is popularly divided into two parts-old DElhi and New Delhi. While old Delhi has many historical remains ike Red Fort,etc, New Delhi has many important and wonderful constructions like-the parliment house, Rashtrapathi Bhavan, supreme court, Humayun's tomb,Feroz-Shah Kotla, etc.

Later it diminished in its numerical strength.Presently there are about six lakhs of jains in this state.

The best forest fort to visit
Ranathambore, is about 200 k.ms down to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan.It is about 30 k.ms from Sawai Madhopur, an important railway station near Jaipur.You have take an independent four wheeler on hire from here, to visit this fort, which is in a ruined state now.But it is worth visiting.Sawai Madhopur is about 2 hours journey from Jaipur.

Golconda is on the outskirts of famous Hyderabad city, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, in South India.It is just about 20 kilometers from the bus terminus of that city.It is one of the beautifully preserved forts in India.Hyderabad has many beautiful spots including famous Salarjung Museum, to visit. Golconda fort is one more worthyspot to visit for those who visit the city.

Rajasthan, the land of colours, arts and sculpture is a wonderful state in India.It had about 30 princely states prior to independence.Bikaner was one of them. Even now, it is an attractive tourist place with well protected forts , palaces, museums, etc.

BADAMI IS FAMOUS FOR ITS CAVE TEMPLES. These are carved in 7th century A.D.

This town was the seat of famous Chalukya dynasty which once ruled major part of South india.Those Kings patronized arts, sculpture and music. As a result of that, BAdami and neibhouring places were turned into craddle of Indian architecture.By the encouragement of these kings, Huge and most beautiful Rock-cut temples were made out of red sand-stone rocks.

Jaisalmer is a small city situated in Thar desert, 600 K.ms away from Jaipur, and 300 k.ms. away from Jodhpur.Large number of Jauhar tombs are found here.
