Simone Smith - My Hubpages Crush
Being part of an online community such as Hubpages exposes you to some amazing people that you may not otherwise have the opportunity to meet. Within groups of friends or within a career, a persons exposure to different types of people may be limited. For example, I work in healthcare, so I don't have much exposure to artistic, creative people. That is something I have to seek independently. I also don't have much exposure to humorous, light-hearted people as healthcare maintains quite a serious environment. I do interact with all sorts of people daily, but my ability to be creatively inspired is limited.
Upon joining Hubpages, I really did not know what to expect. Partly I thought I'd encounter the entrepreneurial type, motivated by money, or perhaps the artistic person sharing their poetry or music. Recently engulfed by photography, I hoped to learn more from people sharing their photography expertise. Well to my disbelief, I encountered all of this and more. I felt slightly overwhelmed and a little bit lost and that is where my Hubpages crush, Simone Smith, fueled my love for Hubpages.
This Hub is really in appreciation to the community, the site, and to Simone for her encouragement and guidance.
The Hubpages Community
The Hubpages Community has been amazing. When I first came here in July 2011, I did not expect as much interaction as I experienced. There was certainly a warm welcome from several people and this immediately made me feel enthusiastic about being here. Within only a few weeks, I experienced so much support and was having all my questions answered. People happily offered their advice and expertise which made it easy for me to sink my teeth into Hubpages. The things I learned from the Hubpages staff, as well as the Hubpages community , are applicable to the outside world and I feel that my skills as a writer, blogger, and Internet whiz-bang have improved significantly. Thanks to all of you reading this Hub. You help shape this place.
The Hubpages Site
The Hubpages site is organized very well and compared to many other user generated content sites, I have found Hubpages to be superior in every way. Everything one needs to publish great content with great formatting is in place here. The process is easy and Hubpages wants all of its users to succeed. There is a wealth of knowledge. The learning center will help you get up and running. There is also an enormous amount of content in users hubs, questions, and forums. I really love this site for its simplicity, great organization, and wealth of knowledge. Thanks Hubpages!
Now back to my Hubpages crush, Simone Smith. She has really been paramount in my learning and always leaves such great comments to keep me motivated. She is a true asset to Hubpages as an employee and as a participant in the community. I appreciate her sense of humor and knowledge on just about everything. I love my wife, but I Hubpages love Simone. Thanks Simone!
