100 Hubs, a special award for you.

The First 100.

When I embarked on this Hub Page journey, I would never have thought that I would be writing an article charting my progress to 100 Hubs and beyond. You see I was not a person for following through on Internet 'schemes' as they always turned out to be so frustrating and disappointing. The promise of making loads of money for not much effort was always too irresistable for me not to have a go. Maybe this next thing would make the money I am looking for, I would always think to myself. But, time after time my excitement for a 'scheme' always wained fairly quickly after sign up usually because you had to part with even more money to get the full picture.

Not so with Hub Pages

On signing up with Hub Pages I think I knew in my heart that this was a forever type of thing. What you quickly realise when you start making friends in the community is that there is so much help available out there. You get help so readily from people you barely know. I haven't found this to be the case anyhere else on the internet. For me this has been one of the main reasons why I decided to give it a real shot. Once you begin making friends and getting supporters you feel like you are letting them down if you don't give it your best shot. If you look at it as though your followers are your customers you will treat your time here like a real business. And we should treat it like a business because we are all here to make money, however small an amount and however long it takes us to get this thing moving.

Eight months in and 100 Hubs written I am now seeing momentum gathering in many areas of my life and things are continuing to change.

That may or may not be anything to do with Hub Pages, but I believe that the discipline which is involved in becoming successful here transfers into other areas of your life. You may find, like I have, that your employment prospects change for the better or good things start coming your way.

You make it all worthwhile.

The story so far.

As well as finding lots of friends here since signing up writing has given me back my confidence and my get up and go which had 'got up and gone' has returned in a big way and I am grateful for that. Many good things have happened as a result also.

I have been writing on Hub Pages for 8 months at the time of writing ( 21st April 2012 ) After putting in consistent effort over this time has put me in a great position to move on and really start to achieve the goals I have set for myself. I now have a road map and hopefully know where I am going so long as my efforts remain consistent.

The day job continues to get in the way of what I really like doing, the hours seem to get longer and longer, but I can now see some light at the end of the tunnel and know that if I continue in the same manner things will become even better for me.

In my early weeks my first followers were so kind and encouraging and I am thankful for that. I knew that I had a lot to learn, but gained confidence from the brilliant comments you all made then and continue to make now.

The harder I seem to work in the day job, the harder I find it to create time for writing articles and all the other things you need to do to make a success for writing on the internet. I also believe that busy people get more done.....so if you are at this point then just remember to keep doing what you are doing and you will get there.

Creating momentum.

This is easy........DO THE 30/30 HUB CHALLENGE.

This was the single most important decision I have made whilst writing on Hub Pages. The support you get is amazing and really does kick start your momentum. Page views increase, earnings increase, your knowledge as a writer increases as does your own confidence to get the job done.

Once you have done a hub challenge and written to tight deadlines you will never look back and article writing will be well and truly part of your everyday life.

What's next for poshcoffeeco?

The race is on for the following so take note all you people out there who are not currently following my writing efforts-:

  • Target 1 - Achieve 500 followers by end of 2012.
  • Target 2 - Reach 200 hubs by end of 2012.
  • Target 3 - Be accepted onto Hub Pages Apprentice Scheme.
  • Target 4 - Become a Hub Greeter.

The above are my main goals for the rest of 2012 but it is my intention to improve the quality and content of my hubs in order to make the above targets become reality.
