Three Years on Hubpages - What an Interesting Journey!
My 3 YearAnniversary - With Hubpages
Where Does the Time Go?
It was so interesting to recall back to the time when I first started HubPages. A dear friend of mine told me about this wonderful site, and I joined it one day. I recall thinking it might be a bit difficult to get used to the editors, etc. Truth is, it has been a great ride ever since. I am so thankful to have found HubPages, and to be a part of it.
HubPages is a great place to share things that you have going on in your life, like travels, family, issues, and just about anything really. It is a great place to encourage others with the knowledge you have gained over the years, or whatever it is you are personally currently researching. Everything from new recipes to losing a loved one, to researching a new disease can be helpful to learn more about then share with others.
Many people write on other topics that just interest them. Really, there range of material that you can browse the site for is astounding. From just about every hobby, to poetry to history, you can find something of interest on this site. Try out a simple search on this site to see if what I am saying is true!
People on HubPages - Sharing With Others
I have made many friends on HubPages, that tend to faithfully comment. I treasure these people very much. I sometimes have a little dry spell, I always come back to HubPages. One thing I have learned this last year in particular, is that life is precious and short. I even lost a friend that was a member here on HubPages, and it is just so sad. You know what though? I will always be able to read the hubs he wrote, the things he chose to share here and the photos. Investing your time and writing, even if you are not an expert or professional, here on Hubpages, is something that will long outlast most of us. That has a really neat value to it, a timelessness to it. The joys, sorrows, experiences of all kinds are in a sense here for many years to come, and for many to benefit from.
My friends and family that know about my writing on HubPages have asked to see an article, especially my boys. They are curious about this whole thing, and amazed that you can make money at it as well. It is such a win-win situation.
I want to add, that the contests have really inspired me to write on certain subjects that I may not normally have written about. It is really an adventure during the contest times. It is fun, especially when many different people get the chance to win. Those were great times on this site. Being inspired to write on a weekly blog has been a great source of inspiration as well. Sometimes just the suggestion of something to write about is enough to get your creative juices flowing.
My thanks goes out to the people that make HubPages possible, and to those here that contribute to it being a kind place for everyone (not just some) to come and share their views freely and without fear of being ridiculed or slandered. It can be a joy to be a part of a community like that, and to make some money on the side is just icing on the cake, so to speak. I really appreciate HubPages and what it has allowed me to share and be a part of. Here are to many more years ahead!
