My Rant

I am here to blow off steam. I have been getting more involved with the Hubpages community recently. One of the things I have been doing is hopping hubs. While doing this I have noticed something that pisses me off! There are hubs that are full of pictures of random things. Sometimes the pictures follow a theme, but whatever the case it there is very little actual content for writing in them. The hub titles imply there is something written but when I look at them I see content farming. Basically I see someone who is being lazy by posting a large number of pictures for no given reason.

No, if one were to post pictures along with writing as a photo journal like I have considered doing then I would understand, but the issue is there is almost no written content. I feel these hubs are a violation of what hubpages is meant for and should be deleted. What do you think? Feel free to comment or participate in the poll. All polling data is anonymous.

What do you think should happen to picture only hubs that obviously are content farming?

I totally understand the need to rant. A couple of my hubs have been responses to things that have upset me. I know the hubs you mean. I've been voting them down. maybe this new subdomain will take care of the problem partially by elimating traffic-i.e, once you know who the hubbers are, all you have to do when seeing the name inthe subdomain is not visit the hubs. Ergo, less traffic.

Excellent point. It has surprised me to see some Image only Hubs. My understanding was that images could accompany and improve written content. Does seem pretty unfair when many of us work very hard creating our Hubs. I, for one, am on board with your rant. :)
