Which ClickBank Products Should You Promote on HubPages?

In my previous hub on promoting ClickBank products using HubPages I went over some simple strategies on setting up your hub to promote ClickBank ebooks.  But now I wanted to go into a little more detail on exactly which ClickBank products work best on Hubpages.

What not to promote:

When most people start out promoting ClickBank products they usually jump straight to either the make money online types of ebooks or the weight loss ebooks.  Now while there is nothing wrong with these niches (they can be very profitable) if you are new to the affiliate marketing game then you might find that the competition is simply too fierce.

Personally I try and stay away from these type of niches unless I plan on building a huge support network to back up my sites with ton's of backlinks.  For newbies this can be daunting, not to mention a lot of work.

So instead I suggest you look at other niches were there may be less competition.

What to promote:

If you look at the ClickBank marketplace you'll see that there is a list of categories which each contain subcategories. There are a huge range of different topics and different products to choose from.

Although to be honest, I don't always start my research here. At the moment I'm quite a fan of jumping on brand new ClickBank products before lots of other affiliates get there first. You can see a list of new ClickBank products from CB Engine (you don't need to sign up for an account, all the info you need you can get for free here).

It will give you information such as ranking, how much you'll earn, gravity (if it has started selling already) and some other information.

I don't really pay all that much attention to any of the stats, but rather use my judgement about whether the ebook sounds like a winner or not and whether I think people would pay for information about it.

If they would then great - I'll check out the sales page to see if it looks like a decent product and has a good sales pitch and then start researching some keywords and phrases that relate to it.

Then it's simply a matter of writing your hub using your keyphrase that you think you can rank for and placing your links inside the hub. Remember I like to place one affiliate link right at the top in the top right position and again at the bottom of my hub so after they finished reading my article they can take the next step (hopefully ;))

That's really it on how I choose a product to promote. I don't worry too much about gravity or stats, but rather use my judgement about whether I think people would purchase it or not. If there is a need for information about it, then it's likely that you'll be able to sell an ebook on it.

Good luck!
