Why Am I Not Getting Paid, Yet My Hubs Are Seeing Significant Traffic?

The question was asked, "1 Year of HubPages, over 2000 visits and 0 cents in earnings. Is it normal?"

No, this is not normal. It sounds to me like your payment methods are not completely set up.

Go to your HubPages account, click on the Earnings link, and then on Settings.

Look under HubPages Earnings Program Settings. Here you have the option of participating in the HubPages Ad Program and/or the eBay Program. You will want to participate in the Ad Program at a minimum. If you see "get started" to the left of either of those, you are not participating, and you will need to click on it to get it set up. If you see "configure" to the left of the program but "Not Active" under the status column, click "configure" to finish setting it up. You will need to link a paypal account with the Ad Program in order to get paid by the Ad Program. When you see "Active" in the status column, it is set up.

Next, look just below the HubPages Earnings Program to the External Affiliate Settings. You will definitely want to configure Google AdSense. The HubPages Ad Program uses Google Ads in addition to Premium and other ad sources, so to benefit from them, you need to also configure AdSense! To do this you will need to have a Google AdSense account to link here. Again, you will click on get started or configure and follow the instructions to make it active. One important note about Google AdSense: Your earnings from Google AdSense are not displayed by HubPages Earnings Program. To view those earnings, you will have to log on to Google AdSense. You will also need to make sure you have a payment method set up with Google AdSense. I have AdSense configured to deposit directly into my bank account. Note that Adsense will only make payments to your account when the earnings accrue a minimum of $100. You will need to log in to AdSense to see how much you have accrued there.

At the very bottom of the screen, configure your payment settings. If your payment settings are configured, and you have an active status in the Ad Program and Google AdSense, Then you should be getting paid.

Please see the screenshot of my earnings settings, included below with personal information altered, for your reference.

You could also take advantage of the eBay and/or Amazon programs for additional earnings opportunities, though as you can see, I do not.

Check Your Settings.

While editing your hub, look to the right of your screen and look for the settings tab, as shown to the right. Click on it, and make sure that you have, "Ads On" Selected.

How to Get Paid Through the HubPages Earnings Program

HubPages makes monthly payments via PayPal, usually around the end of the month, once you've reached a $50 payout threshold. In order to get paid, you must have associated a PayPal account and submitted your tax information to HubPages.

An Adsense Account is also required to benefit from the Hubpages Ad Program, and also the eBay program. Additionally the eBay program requires phone verification.

One thing that is not clear. One must have an adsense account to earn from Hub pages earnings program. Without Adsense all earnings are from eBay and Amazon if you are set up with them.

The HubPages Ad Program also includes premium ads that are not associated in any way with AdSense, eBay, or Amazon. Here is a link to info about the Ad Program. http://hubpages.com/community/Learning-Center-Ad-P

No earnings from HP unless you have an adsense account.

Traffic and earnings don't mean the same thing. It could be that the ads are not displaying to relevant visitors. Visitors may also not be clicking on your ads.

muruk2012, Go to your account, and click on Earnings, then Earnings Reports. Select All Programs, This Month, and Submit. Scroll to the bottom, and you should see daily earnings for each day of the month. Does that report make sense?

Let's start with the fact that you have A WHOPPING TOTAL OF 3 HUBS. You won't earn with 3 hubs, you won't earn with 20 hubs other than pennies. It is the clicks on ads, not the views of your 3 hubs. You also need to earn 50 bucks minimum before you get paid.

I have been here 2 years and no payout. I have also moved a lot of hubs to other places. In the past three months I have written 80 articles that were posted elsewhere.

I have been told No real money here til you hit 200 hubs at least. And even then, no clicks on the ads, no sales from Amazon, no money.

Yeah, I see that kind of question all the time in QA and forums. It's definitely a settings problem. I guess a lot of people just sign up and jump right in without ever reading the FAQ or Learning Center stuff.

Sign in or sign up and post using a HubPages Network account.
