Why I joined Hubpages

This will be the story behind my signing up for an account in hubpages. I hope I could help you readers with all the articles I will be posting.

At first, I was just so busy with some other things to make extra income like having my own business. I tried my luck with different selling businesses at home which I know would help me earn an extra income. I used to sell foods at first, then, dry goods, until I decided to go for handicrafts and designed jewelries out of beads. They all worked out but did not give me enough income to support my family’s financial needs. I even made an agreement with one of the college in our province and offered computer tutorials but it did not work, instead I accepted computer jobs such as wedding invitation designs, school paper lay-outs, presentation designs and others. I found the work interesting but still the income from it wasn’t enough. It was as if I was only doing the job to pay for the bills, inks, and papers, it’s not a loss though because it has helped me a lot.

This year I was so into searching for an appropriate job for me to work at home. I know I could write a little and was not so confident about it but anyway I still tried blogging and have received nice feedbacks and encouraging advices from friends and other people who have read my articles. I applied for part time jobs through online outsourcing companies and did well but I was hired mostly for computer jobs and not website content write-ups. I was kind of frustrated for not having more offers for article writing. Maybe because my profile’s tagline goes this way: “Data Entry/Web Research/Web Design/Database Management/Article Writing”. I just wondered if I will put Article Writing as the first skill but as I said earlier, I was not so confident about my writing skills yet so I left it that way.

My day work as a casual government employee, as it say ‘casual or temporary’, is not a stable job so my fear of ending jobless pushed me to try again my luck with online jobs. I ended up at hubpages.com and learned that I could earn by blogging here with the help of Adsense,Amazon,Ebay and others. I then signed up for an account quickly and planned that hubpages will serve as my diary throughout my journey to landing a successful online job. As I was cleaning the house last weekend, I accidentally found a book entitled “E-Business”. I have not yet started reading it due to busy schedules (as a daytime worker and a mom of two kids) but I saw that the contents are pretty interesting. I thought of using hubpages as my partner in spreading all the things that I will learn from this book. I will definitely share it to others and will surely apply these with a dream that maybe someday I could put up an online business through the help of this book and with some extensive research on the field.

Here are some of the book’s contents to start with:
