Writers of History Always Wanted – Earn Extra Cash and an Accumulative and Increasing Monthly Income – Write Articles on History

Publishing articles about History online can earn their writers an ongoing monthly income, but how? Read this to find out and learn how to start straight away. Join hubpages here and find out from the author how to increase the earnings from your original material dramatically.

WRITERS of HISTORY WANTED!

Have you had a lifelong interest in one or more aspects of history? Did you study history as an undergraduate? Have you always wanted to write short articles about particular areas of your own expertise but never had the opportunity? Has material you have written in the past been turned down by a publisher? Have you piles of papers – perhaps in your attic, files of documents on your PC and millions of ideas milling around in your head which could be edited into a series of articles or published in their entirety? If you are saying “yes, yes, yes” to this like her out of When Harry Met Sally, you might be glad you stumbled upon this article.

ARTICLES ON HISTORY WANTED!

People always want to read about History. Some like the quirky and bizarre, some want only to read about military history, others ecclesiastical, women’s, Byzantine, North American, of Spain, of the Norman Conquest, of ships, of trade, Economic History, Dinosaurs, Egypt, Saxons, Stonehenge, of place names… I could go on -for at least fifty pages - but I feel I must have made my point - no matter what your area of expertise, there's someone who wants you to shar it with them!

A BILLION PEOPLE ON LINE!

There are a billion internet users all over the world! Each of them has their own interests but some aspect of history is likely to be among them. Otherwise, why would so many historical and period dramas be made into film and become block-busters? Why are television channels so often commissioning historians, archaeologists and art historians to produce series of TV documentaries? Why do Horrible Histories churn out book after books which up until now, for at least ten years, have guaranteed Terry Deary with success? Why? Because there is a voracious appetite for History. And so, experts, ex-students of and those with a passion for it – you have something a lot of people want.

SO WHAT! THEY WON'T PAY ME!

“So what?" (you might be saying) "So, what if there’s nothing better than a ripping yarn about people and events from throughout the ages? So what if such readings can bring history to life, provide explanation and even spark an interest in future studies in the readers?...They might want to read my articles but they are not going to pay!” And you'd be right!

NO, BUT ADVERTISERS WILL PAY YOU!

But there are some people who will pay you – should you decide to rewrite or publish your old essays, theses, thoughts, notes and countless ideas milling around in your head, ideas which will only die with you unless you publish them; ideas which you may as well never have entertained if they are going to remain unspoken, unpublished and in various boxes in attics and garages.in article form. These people are advertisers. Advertisers who see a different value in your original words when they are published on the web.

INTERNET ADVERTISING OFFERS THE BEST ROI

There are more and more of these advertisers too. They are discovering that the ROI (return on investment) is greater than with internet advertising than any other advertising media. In addition there are other benefits with internet advertising for all sorts of organisations, companies and individuals. Internet technology pioneered by Google allows advertisers to target their most relevant demographic groups - generally these are readers with expendable income... often the type who are interested in new articles about history.

EXAMPLES OF ADVERTISERS

For instance, articles of the Norman Conquest might be of interest to Bed and Breakfast establishments in Hastings; articles about Byzantine history might be of interest to hoteliers in Istanbul; articles about Stonehenge by advertisers who make models of the monument and so on and so forth, ad infinitum.

“So, you want me to write articles, find a place to publish them online and THEN find relevant advertisers, wherever they might be?” No. Apart from your articles everything else is in place.

HOW WILL I EARN A MONTHLY INCOME FROM MY HISTORY ARTICLES?

After you write your article you will publish it on this site. You will earn a monthly income from the site as long as it remains on line. (You own the copyright and you are able to delete the article, instantly, at any time). This income is generated by readers of your articles when they click on adverts of interest which will appear alongside your advert. These adverts are generated by Google (you can join the Google adsense program via the site when you have registered). In addition, there are other programs you might wish to join here such as Konterra, eBay and Amazon.

HOW MUCH WILL I EARN?

It is against Google's terms and conditions to divulge information about how much Google pay per click. However, if you research online you will see reports of clicks paying anything from 2 cents up to $15 per click. How much you will earn will be dependent on the popularity of your articles and the quality of the adverts it generates. By joining this scheme you will earn 100% of the revenue per click for 60% of the page views. It costs nothing to join and there are no future hidden expenses. ALSO, if you join HERE, you will receive information about how to increase traffic to your site and other ways of making additional monthly income using the same articles.

PROJECTED MONTHLY INCOME FROM PUBLISHING HISTORY ARTICLES ON LINE

Dependent on your ability, productivity and readership you achieve could realise an ongoing monthly income of $2,000-$3,000 via Hubpages and other publishing sites I will supply links to. This will take ongoing time and effort (the more you put in the more you get out) and could take up to 2 years to acrue dependent on the hours you invest.

I have some wonderful stories regarding the history of the Italians in South Africa, including my own grandfather who discovered the ''Sterkfontein Caves'', one of the main cradles of mankind in 1896. Also the history of the people of Namibia.

Very informative article. Just out of curiosity, does writing historical articles seem to draw more readership than other types. I minored in East Central European history but have thus far only written travel Hubs about the area. Anyway, thank you for sharing your ideas!
