Aproving the comment
Do aproving the comment has infulence on anything? I spotted that even unaproved commets are visible. Has aproving any meaning?
I indicates that your are in agreement with the commenter. It also acknowledges that you have read the comment. HP has a string social element.
When you write a hub you can choose whether you want to approve the comments before anyone sees them. Click on the comment box capsule and you can then choose whether you want to do the following:
Comments must be approved before they appear
Email me when new comments are posted
Only signed-in users may post comments
Display most recent comments first
Disable any further comments from being posted
Initially display comments
I think only your own hubs show the approve button, so nothing yo worry about there.
You can see the unapproved comments, but no one else can. Once approved, everyone can read the comments. Also, use the comment capsule (text box) at the end of that hub to reply to your readers comments ... interaction is both fun and a good way to gain followers.
You have to approve comments to prevent spammers, bad language, and 'negative' comments (not necessarily about your hub, but the kind of remarks that are not needed on the internet)

I have nothing to do with whether comments are showing or not do I? It is suggested I might want to disable them until I can fix them....

Is anyone else getting a surge in spammy comments in their Hubs? I seem to be getting at least one or two every day now. I only get the opportunity to check my comments once a day, and I delete the spammy ones. I got a snippy comment from another hubber stating "Wow, you let...
