If the URL to one of your hubs is too long, is there a way to get a shorter one?
The URL for one of my hubs is too long to link from another site, so I'm just wondering if there's a way I can shorten it? (And preferably still be able to use my referral tracker.)
Do let me know if and when you find it ... Because my Laptop was "fed" Malicious Software by some idiot out there ... and perhaps a shortened URL might help me open the forwarded URLs ...
no idea, i would suggest you go to http://hubpages.hubpages.com/ and click "ask a question" and see if hubpages can answer. Good Luck!
Yes. Every hub you create automatically has a short URL created for it. To find it, go the hub that you want the URL for. Click on the Stats button on the top of the hub. After that, Click on the "hub metrics" tab. The short URL for this particular hub should be displayed there.
Referral trackers are inserted after the .com just like you normally would on a standard URL.
Try to twit your hub url and you will have shorter version to post on twitter!
You can use this website This will do everything for you Just copy and paste tinyurl.com
Thanks everyone (and professionalhub in particular) - tinyurl.com did the trick.

Which hubs do you enjoy more - the longer or shorter ones? Or does it depend on the topic?Does the length of a hub affect whether you read it or not?

I am in the middle of drafting a hub but am finding it to be getting quite long with a lot I still want to include. Is there a recommended (or actual) maximum length that a hub can be and is there a precedent for dividing into multiple linked parts? Many thanks,Rob

Just wondering cause my hubs seems to be getting longer.I´m working on one that could potentially become quite extensive. The question is whether I should divide it into two or three parts. Also, do hubs lose their interest if it is divided into too many parts?

I'm working on a hub providing a beginners guide to programming languages and its getting quite long - I'm definitely going to hit 2000 words with it and will probably go up to 2500 unless I really make an effort to keep the length down.Is that too long? It seems quite a lot for a single page to me...

I have read everything I can, mostly through HP, about referral trackers and how to set them up but I still am struggling with this. Is there a "Referral Tracker for Dummies". I have no previous knowledge of this and I would love a step by step instruction guide. A lot of the instructions...
