Why would switching off comments make Google happy? I'm confused?!
LOL! I've read some people who claim that they get adsense clicks from the adds at bottom by eliminating the comments. . . .so if you aren't running the Hubpages ad program then it might be a good idea to kill the comment capsule on some hubs.
I do run the HP ad program - and so, I figure that if someone can't comment - then they are that much less likely to hit a "tweet" or "share" button, and so I'm that much less likely to get income from the HP ad program through social networking sites.
Social networkers sometimes click Adsense ads too, you know.
It's really hard to say - it's all a gamble outside of writing a good, thought out hub about something.
