Do you have a blog?  What do you write about?

Do you keep your topic to a single subject or do you write about a variety like some do here at HubPages?  Just wondering what people blog about and whether to try it myself...any help?

I write about current events in popular culture on my blog- namely music, movies, and television with the occasional sports write-up. My hubpages is about the same, but I'm trying to write about other things as they come into my head. My advice is to write about what you know. If you know cooking, write about that and then if you want to find about new things try that as well. I think as long as you're welling to learn and become a better writer, it'll work out in the long run. Good luck!

I have two blogs, one I started on Wordpress and one on Blogger. I moved to rural Brazil 2 years ago and life is so different. I try and write about the difference but as we are also starting a fish farming business I have less and less time to do so.

Also, I have read, that if you are writing to make money, you are better to spend your time writing here on hub pages or an equivalent platform. People who read blogs aren't necessarily there to buy things.

I have a couple of blogs.  One is about my transition from life after teaching.  It is kind of a diary style and really helped me to clarify things.  Only a couple of close friends follow and comment on it.

My other blog is associated with my parenting coach business.  I use it to list articles and interact with my target market.  I often leave links to articles I've posted here and vice versa so it helps with my traffic a little bit.

There are two reasons I can think of that might entice you to "try it."  Blogs are great places to write about non-evergreen content or things that wouldn't do as well on hubpages.  The other reason is there is another entirely different type of community out there where you might find additional inspiration...but just a warning..no writing community is better than the one here at hubpages:)

Indeed, I do. I write about and share photos of my art and share music that I have created so people can view my creative efforts all in one place.

I have a blog for my wire crafts. I write about the inspiration for each design, the challenges and successes in creating them and show images of the final product.
