you can keep all adds  and links off your page . There are setting that you choose before you publish a page.  make sure it say none, I should have gone to my page and checked it out  so I could tell you better .

Adsense mostly connect it's advertisement to the content of your website. Maybe your content is in someway connected to religion and by that to Scientology. It would be fun to write an anti Scientology hub and then see pro Scientology advertisements wink

Find out what the URL of the ad is.  DON'T LEFT-CLICK THE AD.  If necessary, you can right click, copy the huge long string into Notepad and look for the URL.  Then go to your Google AdSense account and look for blocking URLs. - I think it's under block competitor ads, or similar.

If you post critical information about Scientology, its of the upmost importance to block their many URLS in your adsense account.

Otherwise they tend to go bawwwwwling to Google that their advertising $$$ is incurring damage to their reputation and the defenseless adsense user ends up getting their account banned & canned - NO Ads FOR U - irregardless of the fact that you did nothing wrong nor even wanted the Scientology Ad Revenue in the first place.

To remove the Scientology Ads enter the following link into your Adsense Competitive Ad Filter.

Simply order a revenue capsule from Amazon,  Select a few relevant books and select the upward button to carry the books to the top of your article.  Then select the right arrow and the ad will disspear to accommodate your selection of books.

You may also move a video or a photo in the area of the ad. Remember select the upward button to bring your video up above your text while in the edit mode.  Then  select the right arrow to move the video or photo where the unwanted ad is.

The ads are randomly placed based on the text in your article or just the proclivity to place an ad at the time that you publish your article.  Do not take it personal just replace it with your content video or photo or capsules.

You can block ads that you don't want to appear on your web pages or blogs.  I am not sure about HubPages.  But it is worth to check the following Adsense Page on competitive Ad Filter:  It give some ideas.  I have used this filter successfully in my blogs, avoiding low paying ads on my posts.

My understanding is that, we can't control ad layouts or ad contents on HubPages.
