When posting an answer here, Are we allowed to post links to our hubs that answer it?

In the Questions and Answers on huppages:
Are we allowed to post links to our hubs, if it relates to the question and answer?
    also does it accept html?

Dear Rochel ~ This is a great question. It used to be when you tried to post a link to a hub or another webpage, you would get a "bing" and a "zing" as a no-no. Now, there is a little button below that says, "Make a Hub about it" where you can go to write your answer.

If you have already written a hub that answers this question, my guess is you cannot enter the link. In fact, I have recently written a tutorial about the Questions/Answers section of Hubpages entitled, "Making Money On Hubpages Questions Answers Tutorial" which you may want to review. So, to make your dreams come true, it is wise to follow the rules. When you try to insert a link, I do believe you will receive a notice while typing here to remove it.

You can click "make a hub about it" and answer these questions with a details hub.

There were a number of times when I began answering a question and before submitting it, I realized I typed quite a bit. So instead of clicking "submit answer" I copy and pasted it into notepad. The clicked to make a hub instead, and copy and pasted my answer into a text capsule instead. Finished it off with more elaboration where necessary,  completed the hub with all the required items, such as summary, tags, etc., and published it.

So keep that in mind if you find you are entering a lengthy answer that may server better as a hub.

As for your other questions, If you already have a hub, I am not sure it is proper to link to it. Maybe someone else knows the answer to that. I avoid it myself. But I would make a comment that I wrote more on the topic and people can go to my profile if they want to find it.

As for html, no that is not allowed on HubPages.

Yes - you certainly can do that.  I've done it before - but you need to make certain that your hub really does answer the question.

Nobody wants to see the Q and A section turn into a place where everyone is trying to self promote - that's NOT what this part of Hubpages is for.

That's not very nice idea, because it will sooner or later become messed up. Every one will start promoting their own hubs under the guise of answering questions. Just answer the question the best you can and if your answer make sense t the questionnaire your hub page might be visited in the process.
