   How do you decide which hubs to vote up?
   
   Do you base your vote on the content of the hub, the grammatical structure of the hub, both, or none of these. I ask this question because I read a really heart-wrenching personal account yesterday that needed some grammatical corrections. I could not bring myself to address those corrections in my comments after reading the hub. I felt like the hubber was writing from the heart. I reasoned that it was much more important for the hubber to be able to release that pain than my acknowledging grammatical errors so I voted it up.

   If I come across a hub that makes me go Hmm! that's new or interesting or something I didn't know. Then I vote them up and share them on my social networks.
   Fortunately for me, the quality of the hubs that I read in general are all excellent. I follow some great writers so I am always reading good content.

   I vote up because I liked the hub, it inspired me, or was incredibly well written. I don't think about it as a way to "condone" the hub in a sense, but I try to use it as way to validate the hubber, and even though they can't see it, use it as a way to show I appreciate the work they are doing. In the case you mention, I probably would have done the same thing!

   I think that is completely up to you.  Normally I do taken into account everything that you mentioned.  Although nobody is perfect, and everyone will make some mistakes with grammar or spelling, too many of them is typically distracting and can ruin a good Hub idea. 
   
   But, if you get that Hub that is just amazing, in spite of the errors, I wouldn't feel bad voting it up anyway.

   If I find something that I think is useful information,  valuable, or funny and entertaining, or moving-- like you said-- it is voted up.  I guess the ultimate test is: "Would I want to share this with other people?"

   If I like the hub then I vote it up. I've read quite a few hubs where there have been grammatical errors, but as you've said, most of these hubs were very emotional/traumatic/heartbreaking. I figured that it must have taken a lot of guts and stamina to write these hubs and I felt that to point out errors after reading such accounts would be a very shallow and cruel thing to do. After all  no one's perfect and that includes me, we all make mistakes.
   
   Other hubs I vote up not just out of interest, but that's the main one, but where the work is very beautiful - poems/stories -  or there is a lot of good information that I know, even if it might not help me, it would help other people.
