What Do I do to Redeem A Decreasing Hubscore?

A hub of mine was enjoying a consistent hubscore increase and suddenly, it began to reduce. I didnt give it much thought since no editing was done  until I checked it today and saw that it had reduced drastically and then,  it became a source of concern. Is it normal or something is probably wrong?

Don't let it worry you, this is normal. Hubs seem to randomly bounce up and down on their hubscores. Often new hubs will increase as they get lots of traffic and votes, but then decrease for a bit, until search engine traffic comes in and then they level out a bit. However, they will keep changing on the score front.

Brett has it right. Individual hubscores aren't worth worrying about-- although, having said that, I don't mean to imply they aren't useful data. Take what you will from them but don't hang your hat on just hub scores. My advice is to concentrate on writing as well as you can, as frequently as you can. You might also revisit old hubs and correct spelling, typos and grammar-- I believe these can affect hub scores. I have updated a few of my hubs and seen renewed traffic-- traffic is what I watch. This is anecdotal evidence, but I simply improving several of my article titles seems to have increased traffic. Good luck.

Some people freshen up the title or lead, and it helps. Also, I increased some traffic and scores on several hubs by linking others I'd written with similar content. I am new, so it took me a week or two to use that strategy. Otherwise, as mentioned, I can see we have an ebb and flow of scores and traffic here, so it's not something to panic over.

Everyone one of us experience the same. Our hubscores and hubber score fluctuate in a day. I made 2 hubs about that, maybe it can help if want to consider.

Mine go up and down. I would just keep publishing hubs. When one is going down, another seems to go up for me. I think over time, the more hubs you publish, it will balance out.

Justjed, I have noticed my Hub scores go up and down all the time too.  I have one that goes up to 96 then drops down to 89.  For some reason, I am not sure why, but I think this is built into the algorithm of the Hubpages site.

If you want to do some tweaking on your work here is a Hub that is called the Golden Standards: Element of a Stellar Hub.  What is contained in the Hub is what it takes to have a stellar Hub that gets more traffic, and I believe with increased traffic have a higher Hub score. Hope this comes in handy.  http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/Elem … tellar-Hub
