I believe dialogue is right. I have seen various posts complaining about short hubs, so it stands to reason that some people want more ambitious, substantial hubs. I don't really subscribe to the notion that short, "gem-like" hubs are just as good, primarily because they seem to be very, very, very rare. In general, longer hubs provide more complex insights and information.
On the other hand, your reader has already hit your hub before they find out how long it is, and will the fact that it is lengthy keep them from following a commercial link and winning you a commission?
On the other other hand, as a newbie, the exact things that drive hub scores are still a mystery to me.
