How often do you revise and optimize your hubs?
What's your reason for optimizing? Does it usually produce any good results (i.e. Increase in traffic)?
From time to time I do this. It's because I think there could be a new photo I could add to it or maybe I just want to update all of them. And yes, I usually notice an increase of traffic. It's like keeping your content fresh and being always at the top of search engines.
If I see an error.
If I'm inspired to add more to the hub.
It always produces good results in the way of traffic, comments and of course fan mail. I love my fan mail. Sometimes I forget its there. But its encouraging to go back to it and think 'I can't let my fans down, lets improve!'.
Whenever I learn something new and I want to add it / apply it to all my hubs. Last time I optimized my Hubs was when I learned to add the HTML code to make my links open up in a separate window.
I go through and review every couple of months or so. Sometimes I change things a bit, tweak the title or sub-headings, add some more bits of information if applicable. Doing so and re-pinging helps search engine rankings so long as you aren't "spammy" about it by doing it often and as long as the changes you make are noticeable without taking away from the original content.
With the latest Penguin changes we have looked over many of our hubs. Not to optimize, to remove unnecessary keywords and up date the summaries. We also add an update with the date of the changes.
For an instant ping, go to the search engine of your choice. Type in your writing nickname, your keywords, title of your hub, and date. Hit search and your done.
A well written summary with your keyword cluster in it, with the most important word twice in sentences which make sense to the reader is the best optimization you can do.
You can show up on a search engine with unique content alone. If you don't believe us type "lisech", "wheelinallover" or both in any search engine.
Hello yougotme,
The last time I changed my hubs was today. I used the RSS capsule for the first time. I am continually learning something new and go and try it out. In my experience quizes do not seem to be very popular here, this is why I removed them from my hubs.
Regards 'Team Leader'
I usually modify it after one month to add some more content.
I try to "save" a day per week for this. And i focus on these points:
- Revise hub titles
- Revise keywords (based on google searches)
- Change/add images
- Change/add videos
- Add information
- Update links
- Update amazon/ebay products
You have to keep changing things accordingly to your "audience" feedback! It's like blogging, it's a never ending job/hobbie
Depends, if I feel something needs to be added, content, video, links, pictures, I'll add them whenever. I often will go make sure a hub is well done if it is getting traffic. I'll update any hub if I see thing that need to be changed, that's often since my writing skills have gotten better in the past 2 years. I don't update any hub regularly for any reason other than improving the quality of the hub. After the last google update I went through and removed a lot of my keywords and rewrote several paragraphs of the hubs, the majority of those hubs actually doubled or tripled in traffic when I did that. So, really, I revise when I feel it's needed.
Reviewing my hubs and seeing what key terms people used to find my hub changes my focus. I try to deliver the answers so if I can discern the question, I change the focus, change the key terms and increase traffic.
My electrolyzed article, I feel is a good example. It is great information but how do I find those readers who want the information. Analyzing the search terms provided by Hub Pages is amazing. It saves me time and allows me to build traffic.

Has anyone had great success with the URL Tracker and referrals? I just read what it was about and seems like a great way to provide incentive for other hubbers to promote other user's content. Does anyone use this strategy to make a lot of money?

Some articles you can add to (or update?) every week, but should you? Does anyone know if how often you add to an article changes (positively or negatively) your views, earning potential, etc.

I know that this is the most asked question here, but I'd still really appreciate it if anybody answered.I've been on Hubpages for about 6 months now, and I've just published my 7th Hub, and I'm starting to write a few more. As of right now, I have 239 total views, and each Hub has roughly 36...
