Does HubPages Allow One to Publish A Hub That Profiles a Company?

Is it possible to set up a Hub that acts as a central page for a company, such was what companies do on Facebook?

Excellent question. I don't know the answer, but am interested in knowing what you discover.

Yes, you can use Hubpages to profile a company, as long as it's not too overly promotional. Hubpages sees multiple links or linking to pages that aren't relevant to your topic as being overly promotional. I think that as long as it has great content that people will genuinely want to read, there is no harm in it. It's great to learn about new companies or products that you've never heard of through Hubpages.

Agree. The most important thing is to create a great content.

Honestly I think you're better just setting up an actual website where you can add multiple pages and a whole lot more information. When companies create pages for themselves on facebook they are usually doing it in addition to a website. Facebook is used by nearly everybody so it makes it a great place to advertise. Hubpages is not used by nearly so many.

You can create a hub about a company (though you will have to state that the hub is commercial so there are more ads). But it's best if you do it in an unbiased manner and I you should probably disclose if you have any connection to the company (if you work for them or are paid to write the article).

The learning center has several good articles on what you can write and what you can not write about. Hubs that are overly promotional can be trouble.

You could do this but be very careful.

Is this your own company?  If not you may find yourself in all sorts of trouble regarding trade marks and brand registered names. Possibly leading to lawsuits and possible claims of intellectual theft or industrial espionage.

If it is your own company you can use hubpages for How to... hubs on your experience and gaining knowledge of running a business, I have done a couple of these types of hubs.

Consider the matter very carefully, it may be what you may want to write may suit a blog type platform more than HubPages.

As far as I've seen that's a no-no. Hubpages isn't a platform to advertise a company...I agree with nochance, you're better with setting up your own website. Otherwise someone will probably end up flagging your hub and it will get pulled.

Profiling a company is not necessarily disallowed, but I think setting up a hub as a central page for a business is not the primary purpose of HubPages. One can certainly write about companies and services or products that they offer.

Yes, but I don't believe that hubs are around for the reason to advertise a company.

I don't see why not. So long as it is original work. I would suggest that the central location for the company be a blog, but hubpages is often used as for SEO (search engine optimization) by back linking articles to the business in question. I have done this and it is very effective. Assuming you are talking about a roofing company, you could write an article about why it is important to use a professional roofer and link it to the blog or website. You could also write an article about different types of roofs and their advantages and disadvantages then do the same linking. Your options are limited by your imagination. So long as you are abiding by the hubpages T&C's you are golden my friend.
