Why does my hubscore keep fluctuating?

I was showing 95 in my score and it nows shows an 85.  What am I doing wrong?  How can I keep my score above 90?  Thankyou for your answers.

My hubscore has been at 100 a few times (I thought I saw that for yours, too) but it bounces around like crazy.  I can't put my finger on one issue, but the reading I've done has convinced me not to worry about it.  I decided to just enjoy writing.  Activity seems to boost the score (writing hubs, making comments, replying to comments, q & a/forums), and it can be interesting to watch what happens, but I do better with just reading about making better hubs and writing new ones.  I've so much to learn and then I have to figure out how to mesh what works with what I want to do that I'm not worrying about the scores because a high score does not seem to bring in more readers.  I'll be interested to read other comments and get new perspectives on it.

Agree with RTalloni.  I don't worry about the scores.  I have to focus on my writing skills and it keeps me busy.  Hopefully, as we all build our strengths it will prove successful hub scores.

Logically your hubscore should increase if you do all the positive things recommended by Hubpages - keeping on the right side of karma with links, comments, sharing, answering etc etc and writing original hubs with no hint of duplicate content.
It's very difficult to know because it's not an exact science but I suspect that content and links have some part to play, plus the amount of comments and sharing.
My score goes down to 94 sometimes- very quickly -then goes back slowly to 98 and I've no idea why! I try to write something daily on Hubpages - an answer, a comment, a vote up, a read, an addition to an old hub, more content to a not yet published hub.
The only way to find out would be analyse your every move on hub pages and try to connect your hubscore going up or down relative to those moves! Not an easy task.

Hubscores will fluctuate quite a bit from day to day.  It's not worth worrying about unless it drops substantially and stays that way.  In that case, you're probably doing something that the algorithm deems naughty.  Read Robert Erich's hub http://roberterich.hubpages.com/hub/My-Hubscore-is-1 if you think that might be you.

My guess is that you're fine and shouldn't worry.

vocalcoach....I've asked this question....as well as many other hubbers!  Of all the dozens and dozens of replies.......words of advice and wisdom....it all seems to boil down to:  "This is the HUB Million Dollar question."  So many say.....don't worry about it....it's not important.....just ignore it......But, like you, some of us would just like to KNOW!.....

It seems to go up when I do something on Hubpages every day - answer a question of comment on a Hub.  I don't always have time to write a Hub, but it is fun reading and commenting.

I noticed that my hubscore goes down right after I publish a new hub then it gradually increases. I think that the hub score depends on the average sum of points for each hub and there are other factors as well.
