Do you get any traffic twitter?

I have 688 followers on twitter but I do not think they are very fruitful. Promoting in twitter never fetch any traffic for me. What is your experience?

I don't have nearly as many followers, but several of them are close friends and family so I get a handful of clicks from them. I really only post article links on twitter for the SEO value.

No, I never get any traffic from twitter. It’s just sad. I get way more traffic from posting my stuff on stumble upon and other sites like that.

Nope none at all. And for all the effort I put in I either have no idea what I am doing or it is a waste of time. I see so many comments being re-tweeted that are not even anything special so I must be missing something. I might throw in the towel.

Yes, I have not yet discovered the mystery of getting retweeted and being viral on twitter. I were once or twice able to go viral on pinterest and tumblr but never on tweeter.

I have just over 1300 followers and got about 5% of my traffic in the past two months  from twitter.  It is important to use meaningful hash tags and find and interested community and participate to get readership.

I agree I have gotten more from stumbleupon on short run but if you get the right attention for a retweet it is meaningful.

To really make use of any social media you need to participate actively to gain some trust.

I also use linkedin. It is a powerful tool for marketing. I just tweet and pin and fb share all my stuff when I publish it. I also reinforce it by copying the links and reposting it once in a while.
