Interesting question. As a business owner/writer/trainer/mom and wife (least important to most important), I have a very busy life. When I joined Hubpages, I did it for an outlet for my "other writing" -- not as a real business adventure. I can get paid much more dollars day from work ventures or pennies on each hub. The value of the hubpages has to be more than a dollar amount. It has to be part of a passion or soul investment. I have been told often that if you are willing to do a job for free often, than it is probably one that you love. Writing is something I have always loved.
While I love it, I do not let it control me. I have a lot of things to do and a life that revolves around the people I care dearly about. Hubpages allow me to express myself and when I need to take a break from it, I do without guilt or displeasure. I plan on doing a lot of hubs, but also plan on breaks and am willing to take a few unplanned breaks for those times that the people in my life need my devoted attention.
