Have you ever participated in a 30-30 or 100-30 or 500-30 challenge on HUBPAGES?

30-100 or 500 hubs in 30 days!!! I see many people getting into such self imposing challenges and coming out victorious. I often think of trying. But before I make a serious effort, I seek your views on it. Is it worth doing? Do you feel exhausted or you still have new ideas coming up. Has it improved your performance in terms of earnings significantly? These are the questions that come in my mind when I think of participating.

I'm currently participating in the 30 hubs in 30 days challenge. Although I've been successful so far, I find it hard to come up with new ideas each day and I haven't seen a major increase in my stats yet.

Thanks a lot for your answer Elizabeth. How many days have it been so far and how many hubs you have written so far? I am asking just for the sake of curiosity as many fellow hubbers claim that its not very difficult; I find it really hard to achieve

I have 6 so far, and I agree with you, it's really hard to achieve.

I'm taking part in the 30 Hubs in 30 Days challenge at the minute. It's manageable, but I don't think I'd like to aim any higher than that, say 100 Hubs in 30 Days, unless I'd given it some serious thought beforehand and already had a significant proportion of my Hubs planned out.
As for whether it's made an big impact on my hits.. for me, yes it definitely has. I'm getting a lot more views each day than what I was before and I'm also making a little bit more money. Before I started the challenge, I'd already been a member of Hubpages for about a fortnight, so it's possible I would have got more views as time went on anyway, regardless whether I was taking part in the challenge or not.

So really it's impossible to say whether you will have much success in terms of gaining more views because of doing the challenge, it all depends on the circumstances. But if you write some well-written, informative Hubs then I'm sure you'll do well.

I like your idea of planning out your hubs, I think that is the only way you can truly accomplish the challenge goals. I personally would like to do a fiction series with a new art of the series being added every day.

I have been on HubPages for 3 years now and only recently completed a 30/30 Challenge a few months ago. It is difficult and challenging to produce quality content (500+ words with photos, etc.) but it can be done if you set your mind to it and prepare in advance. I wrote a Hub outlining my experiences with the 30/30 and I talk about what came out of it: http://hub.me/acwmV I think it was a great experience. Will I ever attempted another challenge...still not sure! I say, you will know when the time is right for you. Good luck!

30 Hubs in 30 days is the maximum you should attempt.

The first official Challenge on HubPages was 100 Hubs in 30 days and it was a disaster. It caused a lot of bad feeling on the site and several writers left as a result.  And the site gained a lot of poor quality Hubs, because so many Hubbers were rushing to create lots of Hubs in a short time.

They learned their lesson from that, and that's why you will NEVER see HubPages offering an official Challenge of more than 30 Hubs in 30 days.

Quality is what will make you money, not quantity.

Thanks a lot Marisa for the answer. Agree with you. There are however many hubbers who claim that having the numbers also matter as all you need some content that sparks the ad related key words. I am not much bothered about what others say. I learn.

I've never done an official challenge, but when I signed up my mission was to write 100 hubs in the first month, which I did. It wasn't so difficult, but the important part is don't just write one for the sake of it - dry ideas make poor hubs!

Im taking the 30 hubs in 30 days challenge at the moment and it is going well. i cant imagine doing any more than that though! I'm a Part Time freelance writer anyway so writing articles often is not a big challenge in that sense. For me its a matter of keeping on top of the challenge and encouraging myself to keep writing. I think anything more than an article a day would indeed produce a number of weak articles or just rubbish blocking up hubpages.
I would say try to plan your ideas and hubs before hand, thats what I did and its working well so far. Havent got all 30 ideas but upto around 20 and work on them now and again in the hope they will all be finished by day 30 and hopefully they will all be of a decent quality! Good luck!

I have taken up a 30-30 challenge. Today is the 10th day and so far 10 hubs are complete. I am not sure whether it will be possible to complete 30 as I am finding it less interesting day by day to write with a quantitative target. But I will certainly give it a try as it makes sense to complete 30 hubs so that I get acquainted with the community. I find it more interesting to read others' hubs than writing.
