My hub score stays between 85-89.  I can't get it any higher.

Why can't I get to 90?  I make comments every day, I tweak my hubs and try to make better keywords often.
Is there a special skill needed to get to 90?

I've heard that using the hub hopper can increase your score, but I've yet to find this officially documented.  However, when I first started, I didn't do much but hub hop and it seemed to increase my score.  I use the hopper daily to vote up quality hubs and flag inappropriate hubs.  You could also try to ask/answer more questions here on the Q&A.

Thank you cactusythesea.   Today I am adding hub hopping to my daily exercise routine.   Will be watching this to see what happens.  I have not voted thing up or down much so I will now try including that per your suggestion.

Hub-hopping and asking, answering questions will definitely bring your hub score up a few points. I have found that answering 3-4 questions will bring my hub score up 2-5 points. If I feel the urge to get to 100, I will do some hub-hopping, answer some questions, maybe ask one if I can think of one that isn't an obvious ploy for hub score points. These done consistently over a period of a week will get me the 5-6 points I need to get up to 100.

Thank you!   So it IS possible to go on hiatus then.   Glad to hear this.   I appreciate your observation...

Am on a hiatus and haven't written anything for months; however, have been active reading other Hubs, answering questions, and asking a couple. My Hub score hovers in the 90's with almost no interaction . My commenter level is rooted at 4 though; I must be a crummy commenter. lol

I have a feeling a lot of this is based on formulae and once you hit the numbers you will be skyrocketed into commenter 5.   You must be doing something though and people must be interacting with you to keep the score in the 90s.

Check out this Hubber (http://gmwilliams.hubpages.com) and you'll see for yourself that participation wins all. He probably has no idea what keywords (or even images) are, yet he maintained 99 for days just a couple of day ago. So if you want to boost your score, do what the others said. No need to tweak those Hubs.

After reading everyone's answers I have spent today commenting, answering questions, posting one hub, and doing hub hopping. My score dropped 2 points!

You hubber score will drop for a day or two when you post a new hub until the hub score goes up from views.  The activity you are doing will start effecting your hubber score after about 24 hours.  Continue this activity for several days.

Glad I could help. I have held at 100 for several days at a time following this formula so you should be able to get on up there before long. Good luck.

Echoing everyone else... it's all about participation. Whenever I start to experience a rapid drop, it reminds me I need to start reading other people's Hubs, leave comments, and vote/share quality hubs.
