One of my Hubs has one page view today, but 14 slideshow views. Does that make sense?

I've noticed this too, a difference between hub views and slideshow views. I think there are 2 explanations.
    1. Slideshow views update more quickly than hub views.
    2. Maybe someone clicked on photos individually, rather than clicking on one then scrolling through all of them.

Wouldn't it say somewhere if slideshow views update more quickly? Your second option makes sense to me, though, maybe it's that! Thanks for answering smile

I don't know for certain, but I think this happens when people search images; from what I understand our images come up in searches, and people can go straight to the image from the search. I used a picture from Wikimedia Commons of an ancient Egyptian hieroglyph, and my hub wasn't specifically about that (though related), but I got views just from that image.

Good to know and that would make sense, since you don't always see the whole page when you click on an image in a google image search. The photos are all things I took myself though, so I can't imagine they're that popular. Thanks for answering!

I woke up one day with 92,556 slideshow views overnight, sadly they do not count towards Ad program earnings sad

People have speculated that it is indeed the pictures in your hub coming up in Google images or something, this apparently still has benefit, as a certain quota of these will then click on your site/hub from the image..

I believe they are monetizing slide show views now. They were piloting putting ads on them, anyway.

On your profile page, there is a way to see all the images in your hubs without going to the hubs themselves.

Probably image searches so they can copy them.

On a side note, I was stationed over there by you in Gunzburg years ago.  Very nice area.  Is the 512th arty still over there??

No idea, sorry! I know there are a lot of American soldiers still around though, I used to be pretty good friends with an American pilot before he was sent to Afghanistan. Thanks for answering smile
