I think that most people would probably say 100 hubs.  For many people who join this site, including myself, 100 hubs is their goal.

This is a tricky one to answer but on average I reckon a well established hubber should be at least 2 years down the track, writing at least 2 hubs a week? Adding up I'd say 104 x 2 = 208 hubs.

It all depends how you want to define well established - a hubber with 150 hubs but regular input to forums and the like may feel well established after only a few months!
Someone on HubPages for the social content alone might consider themselves well established after 9 weeks if they get enough feedback!!

But realistically I think it takes 2 years to genuinely establish deep roots.

I just left a comment for this answer but not sure what happened, but oh well thanks for your input here, your answer was well taken by me as well. Maybe after 2 years I'll feel more established who knows right!

I do not think you should be counting the number of hubs you write as much as you should concentrate on the quality of your hubs. If you write for the sheer joy of writing you will do better as a hubber. If you are trying to generate income and that is your focus, you will miss the initial payoff, which is to provide good quality articles to your readers.

People are searching for information and answers to their concerns and problems. I do not believe anyone is counting the number of hubs you write as a means of judging whether or not you deserve to be noted as a good hubber. Quality trumps quantity, as I would rather be known for the quality of my hubs rather than how many hubs I produced.

The number of hubs really depends on the hubber, and the topic. There's a fellow hubber by the name of "Five One Cows, who wrote just one hub and had over 4,000 followers and won a Hubbie Award. Now it's hard to beat that!

That's true, the true fibers that make up a writer will determine whether or not people will respond to them much more positively, and help them achieve vast popularity today. So the number of hubs is irrelevant for the most part, I must agree.

And can you believe that after all of that success some rogue hub page moderator unpublished that award winning hub? It's a loss for all of the hub pages, and a gain for another writing site on the Internet.

Hmmm, I will have to say that I don't believe being a "well-established hubber," has too much to do with the number of hubs you have published.  If you think about it....someone with zero talent and absolutely no gift of telling a tale or reporting on facts, to fascinated fans, could write HUNDREDS of hubs.....that absolutely no one reads and probably never will.  How well-established would he/she be?

I have so far written just only one.In any event I feel it depends upon the quality and content of your hub.
