What makes you stop reading a Hub?
Because it is genuinely infuriating, overly promotional, badly written, deep as a damp napkin, trying to be funny but not funny? What are the reasons you have for quickly and completely abandoning reading a Hub?
The biggest reason is the use of the word............."I"
I this, and I that. And I believe and in "my" opinion. While giving your opinion is important (sometimes) it also puts me off...I was to hear they facts and afterwards I'll listen to YOUR opinion. But if you just write a hub about why Chocolate is the Best Ice Cream flavor and don't give any facts to support your statement then...yeah I get put off.
The two most common reasons are probably when a hub has excessive grammatical and/or spelling errors, or when it is obvious the hubber isn't very knowledgeable of the topic they're discussing.
Boring hubs and those written specially to sell smth make me to stop reading.
I normally finish any hub that I start reading. This way I can make sure that I don't miss anything. Keep on hubbing
If the Hub title is not written in title case, it won't be read it at all. If you can't start a story/ Hub correctly, it must not be worth reading.
If the Hub is written in poor English, half English, or if they are purely personal, they are history. Hub pages is not meant as a "diary" site, and if someone is writing about their experiences in rehab, I just click away. There are plenty of diary sites for that kind of information.
If the hub goes on, and is too long, I move on. Sometimes less is more.
I stop reading them if they are written poorly; constant run on sentences, no breaks in paragraphs, or just poor grammar all together.
I also don't enjoy hubs that just give you general information. I am looking for interesting content as well as detailed content.
For me it would have to be poor writing - bad grammar and typos are a big turnoff.
Too wordy, Hubs that look like they go on forever and say little to nothing will turn me away after the second paragraph.
When it is too long and yet I don't feel like I'm satisfied with what I'm reading ^_^
I get turned off by bad grammar. I know that sounds picky. If a topic is really enthralling or something I am particularly interested in, I'll muddle through the bad grammar. But if my engagement is mediocre, bad grammar will throw me right away.
I like hubs that are truthfully written from the perspective of someone passionate about the topic, someone who either personally experienced the product, event, or service or can realistically and fairly comment on it.

Reading things because it's so bad you can't stop reading?Ever read anything so terrible you just couldn't stop reading, oddly fascinated to no end with the way it was so badly written? What was it?

What would make you stop reading? You have been avidly following either a Hubber, blogger, columnist, etc. .... What act or statement would make you stop reading and following them?

Is it rude to point out grammar/spelling mistakes on hubs via comments?I've come across numerous hubs that have grammar and spelling errors, some minor and some littered with mistakes. Otherwise, these hubs would be interesting and will written in my opinion. Is it rude to point out these mistakes...

Do you think Hubpages should take a harder stance to poorly written hubs?I hop hubs when I can, and find so many that are of poor quality. They have little to no content, or just one long text block. Don't get me started about the spelling or grammar.Should HP take more of a harder...
