   Anyone here writing Mechanical Turk?
   
   It was brought up by management a few months ago.  I was wondering how anyone is doing on it, making any money and enjoying it.

   As I'm in the UK I can't actually make money but I can make amazon credit. I have spent the odd half hour on there and currently have $15 of credit sitting in the account for, well doing very little actually! If you have the time to put in you could make some decent moeny from it. i just plan to keep building the account when ever I have a few spare minutes to look at it until there is a nice lump sum I can spend. maybe for my hubby's birthday next year. Just watch out for scammy employers! Or ones that try to pay 1 or 2 cents for something that'll take you 15 minutes of online searching! Mostly I go for the surveys as they tend to pay well. Or the images identification type jobs as they can be done fairly quickly! Good luck

      www.mturk.com to apply. you need an amazon account i think, but other than that you can just sign up with your login and answer a few test questions (easy usually) and your done

   you can do tasks here and there, but don't expect to make much money for it.  We do a few tasks periodically and use the earnings towards our amazon purchases.  You won't make much doing it though, most tasks earn less than a pittance especially until you get established.

   I signed up and then took the qualifying test so that I can do the hubpage reviews. I never got a separate email saying that hubpages approved me, but I waited a few days and then tried to do the hubpage reviews and it allowed me to do them. HP pays you 5 cents to read each hub (its like hub hopping) and then they give you an extra bonus every time you complete 10 hub reviews. I've only done it few times, but I already have several dollars (which unfortunately is more money than I have made from writing my own hubs). The only draw back is that you can't leave comments....but overall, I think its a fun way to hub hop and make a little money on the side.

   I have done some odd jobs with them, most often surveys, made $65.00 in about two months, I have tried a lot of different money-making websites, so far Mechanical Turk has been the one that actually pays well, I have been with Hubpages for sometime, but have not seen a dime from them yet, well it's accumulating very very slowly, but with MT you can start spending as soon as you reach $10.00.    I haven't, actually I have never heard of it before. But now I will check it out! Sounds like it takes a lot of time to make money on it though. I do write for Textbroker, it's possible to make some halfway decent cash on there.

   I've so far made $335 on it and this is from my spare time over four or so months. It's definitely worth the time if you want some spare change and you're bad at impulse spending (like me) because the money sort of.... trickles in. I wrote an article about it if anyone is interested.

   Is there any reason why I wouldn't be able to do that?  They seem to not want to let me....is it because I'm in New Zealand, and we don't have our 'own' Amazon.com link...eg like Amazon.co.uk etc.

   I signed up for Mechanical Turk two years ago and can tell you from experience that it's not worth the time and effort. You will make very little money for the time you invest completing tasks. You can give it a try. For me, personally, it did not work out.
