On one of my non writing internet sites, I found a fellow hubbers HP link. Is that ethical?

And how is it even possible?  I guess it doesn't bother me too much, but it seems like the kind of thing you would ask before doing.

If its a comment on your site, I would just remove as spam. If it is perhaps an ad from Adsense (google give out freebies every now and then) then there's not much that can be done other than changing your preferences for Adsense.
I would think that no content could appear on your site without your approval?

Or you could ask this Hubber to feature you on one of their sites to return the favour?

Are you familiar with about.me sites?  You get your own page and you customize it with photos, links and a bio.  There is no means of posting anything.  It's just odd.  Actually, I shouldn't have posted this question.  It really isn't a HP issue.

Not ridiculous at all Michael.  I don't think I'll ever figure this one out.

Sorry, I'm very sorry. Apparently, 'my English' failed again. I was/ am deeply earnest. Thank you very much.

I think it is not ethical. We should be gentlemen with good philosophy in thinking. Permission is a good way to respect other writings,

You can post a HP link anywhere as long as it doesn't violate the terms of the site that you posted it on and it is not on an incentive traffic generating site. I have an About.me page and I have a few HP links on it. It is just advertising that doesn't force anyone to click on it unless that person is interested in finding out more about your interests.
