I cannot seem to master the art of putting pictures into a hub - this old dummy needs help!

I have tried the tutorials, experimented, gnashed my teeth, and uttered a profanity.  Nothing works.  I always seem to hit a roadblock.  Can some good soul out there walk me through adding pictures to my hub?  I have the pictures on my computer.

Probably not much help, but I have had some problems too. I always resize the photos down to about 500 or 700 pixels, maybe even less so that they fit on the hub. When you hit choose photos on the hub tool, you then go to "your pictures"
and choose the correct sized photo that you want to use, click on it, hit open and it appears (usually).
I hope that helps or maybe someone who knows more will come along.

I usually end up moving the photos to "my photos" in order to find them. I have this problem a lot.

Okay, all you need to do is pick your picture capsule, then hit edit. Then th box will show up and a green button that says choose. Press it and it will take you to your pics. Once you have chosen the pic. you want to use, click on it then at the bottom press open. The picture will appear in the capsule. Hope I could be of help my friend.

You have to keep clicking till you get to the folder your photos are in.  Hope all this advice works out for you.

Make sure you know where your pictures are on your computer; what folder they are in.  When you go to Edit in the picture capsule, then Choose Photos, look for the folder you have your pictures in, click on that folder then click on the picture you want.  It may take a while to load but it should show up in the capsule.  Good luck.

Mary, finding the photos on the computer is my problem. I will have just looked at them, then go back to open them and spend 15 minutes figuring out where they are.

Instead of using your own photos, try using photos from wikimedia commons which are public domain and available for your use.  Once you search for the photo you want and find it, right click and hit "save image as", then save it to your desktop.  When you follow the directions as given by others, your photos will be on your desktop.  You can return to the page where you found the photos to do your attribution properly.  I use these all the time and find it very easy once I practice a bit.  Good luck.

Thanks TT - but the pictures I am trying to use are very specific to the hub.  But good advice for general use.  My problem now is I'm getting a message that my pictures are in the wrong format - they must be jpg, png, or gif
